Re: PIC: A Personalised Team-BHP Garage Door!

Thats a fantastic idea and also a very neat result. I first thought it was a printed art. Couldn't even guess it was handmade. Think you have got a great artist working there. Here in Bangalore, even sticker shops arent skilled enough to get those designs and there you have an artist who did this.

How was the shadow painted for live to drive? Was it sprayed? Even LCLC has been done as neatly as the original design itself. Keep it up!

Thank you for the close-up pics mate. The painter who did this is a true artist IMO. I cant even imagine how he was able to paint the shadows of LTD and the LCLC part.

Executed superbly. Hats off to you. Looking out for more photos.

I guess, you would be spending a lot of time in explaining neighbors and other inquisitive folks (non-petrolheads) about what is t-bhp and what do we do here.
Ha ha . Tell me about it!. The other day our family friend(he is also a doctor BTW) dropped by and said "beta why have you written 'GOT BHP' he being unaware of the petrol head meaning of the abbreviation was mentioning the medical one --Benign Hypertrophy of Prostrate

No it was not a spray paint , it has been hand painted throughout.
The guy took almost a week as he was juggling with some other works too.
No complaints though once he finished it was all worth it.

Re: PIC: A Personalised Team-BHP Garage Door!

4k is a very meagre amount for the work involved. Economically this might not be the best way but still the amount of skill and experience required is quite high. There are cheaper options but I dont think they're as durable.

Re: PIC: A Personalised Team-BHP Garage Door!

Now the inside pics.
First let me tell that the work is far from over .
I have made the garage functional.
But there still are few coats of paint pending ,the paint spill from the garage door has to be removed, the storage cabinet is being worked on for keeping all those microfibre cloths, shampoos, waxes , Bosch aquatek etc. and some other miscellanous work.
Still tiles have been laid and more so lights and fans have been installed, cant bear the thought of washing ,waxing in this heat.
Enough talking lets see some pics!
Got bhp? hell yeah! 160 +140 of em!!

You mean to say it is hand painted and he charged you only 4000/- for it?

Labour is cheap indeed in India!

He quoted 3000 at first ! Can you believe that?
After he finished he asked for four. He truly earned that.
And yes I still got a very nice deal.

Congrats ishlinea,

Your garage interior looks awesome enough and you sure do have got BHP!! I hope you have ensured enough drains for all the water from your HP water cleaners.

I am very much impressed by the kind of work done on the garage door, especially after looking at the close up pics. Kudos to you and the artists behind the work.

I don't have a dedicated garage, but painting up my car park gates now and I really like the yellow colour from the primer. Everyone in the family thinks its a bad idea and it looks too plain. Well, I wonder what they will say when I will discuss the idea of how Live To Drive livery might make the yellow paint job not plain. On a serious note, will check up some renderings on how well it will gel with the exterior of the house.

Cheers!
