There are loads of Zens nowadays with 1.3 Engines, Last week I was driving my friend's Astra on Mysore Road, and a Zen continuously kept ahead of us, I saw a speedo read of 165 KMPH on the Astra and he was ahead of us,

Also if the Zen you refered to had a Baleno engine, then there is no way a Stock zen can catch up with it, not at any speed, unless he was playing around.

It might be this problem,

Even my cars rear tyres used to touch at the end when 3 people used to sit behind, what the problem was ....... the metal part above the wheel (wheel arch) extends inward a little in the zen, you have to go to a good mechanic and get it tapped in, as in one has to hammer it flat in without damaging the car or paint, I did that and it worked, my car has 14 inchers on a Zen, if you want to see it, visit my BHp Garage.
Cheers.

Esteem Engine in a Zen

Have any of you guys had a Zen engine bored out to Esteem size i.e. from 999cc to 1298 cc and if so what were the results?
Would really like an answer asap as am thinking about doing this to my MPFI Zen in the near future.

Cheers
