Congrats Raj! I think it's time I join on some TBhp drive to check out the car. I remember your old Optra vividly enough

I can vouch for T-O-T and their maps: I got a remap on my T-Jet that takes it to 145BHP and 250Nm according to them and the car has just changed character. Reluctance to revv high is gone and 2nd gear get-aways from big speed bumps actually works. Should do a dyno+vbox soon.

It seems unfair that you use an existing thread to talk about a remapped TJet
Any plans on starting your own thread and sharing more details ?

PS : I own a TJet.

Hi Brraj, How is the GT doing ?

Have you worked on the handling and braking aspects of the car.
Also, how is the car holding up after the remap, in terms of the mechanicals and wear and tear.

I'm waiting for the 10k mark to TOT my GT TDi. Hope the warranty is not a problem.

- To improve braking instead of upgrading to better brake pads/Calipers am using left foot braking technique and it stops much early.

- For time being i have adjusted to the existing handling and so far its fine.

first service update will shortly be written.

re: VW Polo GT TDI @ 190 BHP : 0 - 100 in 7.5 seconds

1st service update

Service done at Elite motors, Hosur road, bangalore.
Completed 10k kms without any major issues so far.

Cost of first service - 12k.

A/c center vents was not working and few parts were replaced under warrenty.

I read posts saying brake pads will last only for 8-10k, But in mine it should be good till next service.

My next upgrade will be to go for better bulb to enjoy night drives.

To summarise, I still like the way 1.6tdi pulls be it highways or city.

Did you feel any noticeable difference in the performance? I have been reading mixed opinions about K&N filters. The stock replacement ones specifically not the CAI types. FWIR, the oil used in the K&N filters affects the sensor element in the MAF sensor. The filter requires frequent cleaning since the environment here is a lot more dusty.

Can you post a snap of the installed filter? TIA!

I have used it in my previous cars (optra magnum, elantra) and did not face any issues. Even if you face issues ask service guys to clean as its a simple job.

Hey Raj

That's one hell of a machine you got there. Perfect set of mods for the car, tastefully done. It definitely stands out from the crowd. Keep us updated on the future mods lined up for your GT. In the meantime enjoy your drives and be safe!

You definitely got BHP!
