Did you change the codes in the ABS module through VCDS for the larger rotors?

Perfect set of upgrades you've got there. Suspension and stopping power to go with the power upgrade. The car is now a giant killer . Drive safe buddy.

According to TOT our ABS module doesn't have that option, So it's just Bolton without any code changes.

Decent timing. I expected it to be little faster though , at least by 0.5 seconds. The Polo's I know of with CR177 have done 6.9 to 7.1 seconds on V Box / Dragy. Tyres / testing conditions / driver could be also the differentiating factors.

What about 1/4 th mile timings ?

Yes, 7sec can be easily achieved but what's missing in my car is Intercooler, Agressive map and Good tyres.

Re: VW Polo GT TDI @ 190 BHP : 0 - 100 in 7.5 seconds

Wow thats a nice tune. I too am looking for a similar setup in my 2013 Vento 1.6 TDI. I already have a IES Performance Decat downpipe and Wolf Moto Remap amongst other mods, but a turbo upgrade has always tempted me.
My car has done 1.2 lac kms and is more or less a daily, with an average of 60-90 kms drive when used, and weekly 400 km a day drives.
I am confused between the CR140 and CR177, but more keen on the CR140 mod because of its better overall drivability?!
Did you consider a CR140?
How has been your experience with the CR177 upgrade till now? Does the car feel reassuring/ under control high rpms?

I did not consider CR140 and if you like performance then why settle for less go for CR177 which is bolt on fit.
Talking about drivability its best because you dont have turbo lag like bigger turbos have, More over it can be tuned according to your needs by the tuner.

I have driven around 5k kms till date and its a joy to take the car out for a spin everytime.
Its better to upgrade suspension and brakes aswell.

Re: VW Polo GT TDI ownership log EDIT: 150,000 km up + several updates!

Sorry if this is not the right topic to post here.

I recently tried out a pre-worshipped 1.6 GT TDI. The car is in immaculate condition on the outside, in fact looks almost new though it has 80k on the Odo. Regular service history available at VW A.S.S as well.

However when I drove it around, it was certainly a let down. The steering felt a bit light and vague at slow speeds, the low end grunt was missing and clutch was a bit hard. Though it pulled well at higher speeds.

I am currently driving a first gen 2010 swift vdi, with 90% usage in the city in speeds of 30-70kmph mostly. I was looking for a used car that will give the same driving pleasure if not better than the swift. My swift is in top shape and has just crossed 1.2L kms. I could not help but compare the GT to the swift thought it might be an apples to orange comparision in city driving. I know the GT will smoke thew swift on a highway but that is not my need at the moment.

It almost seems GT TDI is a highway vehicle and not a city car. Atleast that is the impression I got. I would love to buy this pre-worshipped beauty but I do not want to make a mistake. So I emailed Petes and Code6 about getting a remap of the 1.6 GT TDI to help in low speed city driving but did not get a reply. Can you guys help me in this predicament? Unless a remap can help ( I am certainly not interested in 0-100 dash or highway speeds) in improving city driving I cannot convince myself to buy this car. Also whether a new clutch will be lighter?

Remaps can help to increase the low end performance but later you will complain about handling and braking aswell.

It looks like you are not intrested much in performance, if yes then why go for polo tdi ?
Go for Punto 145bhp abarth it has good GC, Brakes, Handles well and decent power for your requirements.

I bought a Polo for its powerful engine alone and the rest which are weak i know there are lot of aftermarket support for VW/Skoda.

You can talk to TOT tuner.

Car is now SOLD.
I was very much happy with the car, no issues faced even with extreme mods.
This is the only car we have kept for 6.5 years.

Need for space was the main concern to sell polo else would have kept 5 more years easily.
