Damn expensive!!!

Bought Aero Twin yesterday for my Swift. Costed me Rs.1800 per set.

Neverever thought a pair of wiper blade will be so expensive. So curious me calledup Zak to findout whether he has heard of something like this! Says no idea; and suggests me to go ahead so that we can do a review bout it later.

Well... it looks pretty heavy and passes a premium variety feel and works wonderfully too. But still I feel the pinch when I do the arithmetic again and agian. I think the 'desi Bosch' wiper blade which is available for Rs.300+ is pretty much good and serves the purpose quite well.. so for the price of aero twin, you can buy several sets of 'desi Bosch' wipers and so why this??!!

The shop guy says.. LIFE!!! hmm.... I will keep a close watch on this stuff for its 'LIFE' and its ability to sustain present performance!

ugh... DAMN EXPENSIVE!!

@nikki, this particular set of blades is sure wiping your pockets clean. :-)

Why didnt you check around, or use the Bosch ?

@GD, the info that Sankar posted was not accurate for my truck. It states 19" here, but Bosch wipers are available only in even sizes. I'm using 22" & 20" for front.

Check the size of your blades with a scale, & you should get the size for your Scorp.

But then few guys here have fitted the same for Rs.1700/-!!! See the earlier posts...
I thought the 'bit' that costed ME more is due to the present "inflation" thingy!! :-(

I got Bosch blades for my Lancer on the weekend for 350 bucks from a dealer in thane. Looking at the prices quoted by all you guys i feel i was overcharged at 350.

They wipe well however they are squeaking. My earlier syndicate ones were also squeaking. Do you guys feel that if it squeaks they might be fakes???

Can the squeaking be attributed to the fact that my windscreen has got a lot of swirl /scratch marks. I plan to changed the windscreen as well however for now only the blades is what i can afford.

I have the packing they came in my car boot I will check for it tonite.

what should i be looking for to ensure they are not fakes.

@nikki, hope you wont need the wipers for that.

"Chashme pe unke wiper ..."

Check boschindia.com for a list of dealers. There must be one in your city. Try get your wipers from them. You should get the genuine stuff, at correct rates. Makes much more sense than buying what the car accessories shops & retailers tell you.

For Bangalore : check Vijaya Diesels. It's opp Urvashi, on the road that's between JC Rd & Lalbagh Road.

I am using Bosch wipers for the Scorpio since the last season & the difference is noticable. It doesnt make much noise & cleans well.

Bosh wipers lack quality now. The last two sets got hard qute fast. Moreover they dont have the right sze nes for the palio. the left blade is slightly smaller. And the dealers wont give you them from different packs. What hell. How do they decide what lenght wiper blades i should use.!!!

Plannng to switch back to syndicate.
