I ordered a 12" Coozo wiper from Amazon for Rs.130, but it was of the wrong mounting hook type (u-hook), which wouldnt fit the arm of the existing rear arm assembly of the Swift. My mistake, I should have checked before ordering. Assumption was it was the same as the front mounts.

I see the wiper being sold online on Boodmo , but not sure when (if) I will get the part. Its cheaper than Maruti A.S.S. though (342 vs 575 Rupees).
Unfortunately, boodmo is not stocking them for the Figo.

Replaced Bosch wiper blades in my Spark (22"+14") with 3M framed one. At Rs.750 per pair it is costly comparing to others. Let me see how it performs. I used Bosch, Hella, and Syndicate ones in the past and and found most of them are equally bad (found OE Syndicate one marginally better comparing to others). Frame less design cost around Rs.1500. Picked it from 3M outlet in Electronic City.

I am seriously wondering if this frame less stuff is worth it at 3-4 times the price of regular wipers.

Wipers, like tyres, have a life irrespective of usage - they harden over time and hence have to be replaced. So, I tend to replace wipers almost yearly. In that time, there is no perceptible difference in performance between regular wipers & frameless one.

So, why waste money on frameless? Someone please explain.

In my experience, frame less wipers are noise free and they definitely adds up to the overall looks of the car

I replaced my xcent AT wiper in June during the car service. Cost me 600 Rs. from Hyundai - way too expensive. Problem now is that it squeaks when wiping - the noise of rubber moving on the glass at the end of the wiper movement. Is there a way of rectifying this. I've cleaned the blades well.
If it continues, I'll just get another pair and use as the monsoon has started. What size are the xcent wipers. Are they 22 and 16 inch? How is Hella wipers?

They are absolutely useless. They work fantastically well for about 2 months, and then they start streaking. I put it down to inept care by car cleaning guys who most of us employ. Thats unavoidable, I think, so theyre only good for show. I have spent close to 5k on these wipers over the last 1-2 years on 2 cars, and I have been disappointed every time. The final nail in their disdainful coffin was when I was coming back from manali recently, and had to actually stop and buy a new set on the highway. Good old syndicates.

Was tired of the shuddering and the racket the OEM blades used to make. 3M recently introduced wiper blades in frame and frameless type, and everyone who used it was happy with the performance.

Stock size of M800s wiper is 17/17. 3M frame type wiper wasn't available in that size, so went with 18/16. Wipe area is almost same(actually its a bit improved for the driver side). Decided to go for them after seeing Dr. Naren's recommendation few pages back.

Wipe quality is perfect, devoid of any noise or streaks. MRP was Rs. 650, paid Rs. 590.





Have used Minda, Bosch and OEM(Syndicate) in the past, but these 3M ones are much superior.

Got fed up with the uneven swiping, leveling and cleaning by the frameless wipers. Recently got these AutoFurnish F8 Hybrid Silicon Wipers for the old Innova

These are the similar hybrid wipers that come on with Innova Crysta. They have standard frame like the regular framed wipers, plus an upper additional frame casing in multi-part that pushes the blades down evenly on the glass.

They also come with various attachments for fitting to different car wiper arms hooks, quite a few number of them as shown on the boxes. Forgot to snap those fittings. They are just lying idle in the box.













So far working good and holding good on the windshield.

I have used these before; they went bad in just after a month. They're only as good/bad as their cheap variants and not worth the premium at all.
