What an interesting little piece of automation out there! And by Alto, which period of Alto do you refer to? Is it possible to fit this onto an Alto 800? Also, we, BHPians are so eager on your review of this system and how is it to be used. In case you forgot, post it over

Re: Fitted an Auto-Clutch in my Alto

Dear wildchild - I had tested it. It did not work. Clutch got ruined in 2 kms of run. After "so-called correction" by the "party" (somebody from Delhi), pedal modulation was completely non-existent!

Best regards,

Re: Fitted an Auto-Clutch in my Alto

Hello Everybody
Sorry for the late reply.
I wanted to double check the durability of the auto clutch mechanism before posting a first hand experience report here.
Guys, I'm happy to say that my Alto has clocked 20,000 km without any failure in this mechanism!
A detailed pictorial report is in the works. Will definitely post it by next weekend!
Cheers

Any further updates on this? What was the cost of the system and is it possible on bigger cars?

Re: Fitted an Auto-Clutch in my Alto

I got Automate Auto Clutch installed in my 2013 Alto K10 after 70k kms, in 2020.

I loved the system and the offering. My dad recently learnt driving and was having difficulty getting used to clutch however after fitment or Autoclutch it was very easy for him as he just had to think about steering and Gears and not clutch. He loved the system and enjoyed it for couple of months till he got a spine surgery. After surgery doctor advised him to not stress the legs so he quite driving :( the system is not getting used now.
I drove with the system on for about 1000-1500 and what a pleasure. Whenever I hit traffic I use the automated clutch to save my leg.
