FYI the pictures of your car are still on Team-BHP's Facebook page posted on 22/12/2014. You must have either missed seeing them while scrolling, else when you click '2014', only 'highlights' must be visible to you - change that to 'all stories' and scroll down.

Re: My VW Polo GT TSI - Modified updated

I know there has been silence on my thread yet again, but every time there is a silence remember, some mods are taking place in the background.

Few changes that I did in last few months are:

1) I had Bilstein B6 and decided to put the Eibach springs, the match wasn’t pleasing and there was a play in the spring, would not sit on the bilstein b 6 shock seat properly and had some movement with the eibach.

I was trying to achieve a low stance ride and further improve handling while cornering. It didnt turn out to be so good as I had expected, I quickly switched to KW coilover- Street comfort line set up. Boy its one of the best suspension, I have ever used, its got 16 rebound adjustments, and height adjustment.

This gives me the flexibility to choose the height of the car and keep it safe for city and interstate drives. Regarding the drive the car handles brilliantly (no complaints), you can take any corner at any speed and the car just sticks like a glue on the road. Plus the low ride look that you get, a must do upgrade (IMO). (P.S I love the Bilstein B 6 if you are only looking to replace the damper and not springs, it’s a very good combination, corrects the handling by 70% while keeping the height ride and comfort in the cabin as you use stock springs), But KW is another league for driver/enthusiasts.

2)I also got rid of the tri color stripe and focused to follow the red theme around the car, you will see pin stripe on the side of the car, rear wing painted red and I also painted the paddle shift extension. (all paint job done again by Jahan Mistry my close friend based out from Mumbai).

3) I have also changed the front break pads to VW performance break pads, this is definitely much better than the red brembo break pads (IMO) and work wonders with slotted brembo front disks.

4) A little red accent in the front on the wrc bumper for aesthetics.

Following are the changes and pics, enjoy:

1) Kw Suspension- Street comfort line- Height and damper adjustment with 16 clicks. The front you can just adjust by a bolt on the top of the damper under the black net grill under the hood on top left and right, but for rear you need to lower the shock, but once you have done the set up you would not be changing much unless you going on track and want a real stiff setup for rear, so we have kept rear at +8 and front at +6 which works best for all terrains.
2) Red Black paddle shift extensions.
3) Rear wing red.
4) Red pin stripe on the side.

Few shots of car Photo Credit to Gaurav Sawn: he is a GT club member with us. Great photographer.

I hope you guys like the new look and changes.

Cheers

Ah ha..now you're getting there bro. Just BRILLIANT !!

I have just gawped at every mod you had done except for the Tri-color thingy. Now that you have got rid of that, arguably the Hottest GT in India, just got 'Red-Black' Hotter !!

Re: My VW Polo GT TSI - Modified

Saint,

Can you please tell me which sharkfin antenna you installed? It looks similar to the one that comes with the Jetta (glossy finish)?

Thanks

I would love to know where you sourced the headlights from. Looking to upgrade on my GT as well.
What after market casing did you use? Original casing didn't have a good fit?

the quality of the lights turned out to be bad eventually, the DRL stopped working after 3 months, now the high low doesn't work together, I suggest you buy from aliexpress, they have original internals with after market casing, ebay also has full original lights, but it is damn expensive. Full original lights are made in Valeo spain (so you need to remember that while ordering). Ali express has with mitsubhsi ballast, Philips 5 w drl led osram hid. this one I found to be good.

I didn't use any casing the casing always came with the lights.

cheers
