I am sure you must be facing the dull speedo problem

I couldnt find the screws for opening up the spedo console
But you guys said that the stock spedo light is green, I have a type 1 esteem, the stock light is dull yellow! it is a pain to see the spedo at night. Do you guys have any advice? Should it be opened up and cleaned?
How would ir look if the bulbs behind the console were all changed to LED's?

Bro dont change the type 1 speedo lights to LED, they will become more dull, i have been through it.
regarding the screws, u have 5 of them on the speedo frame.
You also have to open the cover below the steering and loosen the steering column so that the steering moves a bit downward and you can remove the speedo frame then, Dont try to pull the frame untill you move the steering down.
Once the frame is removed, 2 more screws at the top for the console.
remove the speedometer cable slowly and on the back side of the console you will find 2 black knob kind of thing, move them and remove the bulbs, remove the green rubber caps, and pack very thing back.
Would suggest you to go to your regular road side mechanic and do it yourself at his workshop, if you go wrong he is there to put things back.

Hi All,

Here are few pictures of an Esteemed modified as racing car in Bangalore. I was told this car is available for sale.

It looks like the lancer cedia. Would look better without the stickers on it.
Unless told it would be difficult to figure out if this was an esteem.

Did he lose a bet? I find it hard to believe that any human being could have such poor taste! That has got to be one of the worst cars I have ever seen.
