Performance Gauges

Hey all,

I freak out on gauges and have been hunting for them in and around Madras for a while now.

Iam looking for the following:

1. Tacho(with shift light)
2. Oil Pressure
3. Temperature
4. Vacum

I just love the Autometer's Nexeus[ http://www.autometer.com/demos/nexus/ ] range of meters for its looks and feaures, but they are way off on price. Someone please tell me if there are any gauges in the market which looks good and has some features of the Autometer's Nexeus gauge. Cost and Brand please.

Iam planning to have them fixed on the pillars with the beizels.

Pj Speed from chennai was stocking the R-active range.
I think 2.5" gauges @ rs1800 each. Not sure if they are in stock... you will have to check.

When it comes to design, looks and finish I think autometer is the leader. But you pay
the premium for the brand. Autogauge has performance gauges as well, but the
finish of these meters leaves a lot to be desired. Check the market section, I have
put up a 3.75" tach for sale.

O/T : Remember the red lancer discussed on the other thread??
It has the Autometer Cobalt series installed... REAL EYE CANDY
Monster tach with shift light, 2" volt/temp/oil guages on the a pillar.

Harmon you car is going to turn out to be one sweeet ride with the upgraded rubber,
performance mods and other goodies

Hey good find!! The site seems to be offering excellent pricing on certain models. But rather than going for the range you specified, if you spent about 75$ more you could get yourself autometer

How much would the Autometer Nexus series cost? and I guess it needs some electronic box to make use of its other features.

these gauges looks damn neat. Just could not get my eyes of them. Very expensive but equally looks neat.

Check the movie of the gauges in action on the same page.

The best gauges out there are the Defi BF Imperials. Period.
You have to see them in real life to believe.
I am going to get rid of the Phantoms in the Accord and get a set of the Defis
Check out the price though : 3 of them (Boost/EGT/Oil Press) and the controller are over 30K..Again, Karan's the man to contact.. He has sold more than 5 sets of 5 or 6 gauges each!!

AP, I dont see a vaccum gauge on their list. I have a Lancer and please tell me if the gauges listed below wil fit in to my car seamlesly.

I need the following:
1. Vaccum Gauge
2. Water Temperature
3. Oil Pressure or Volt Meter

People were telling me that that it is a pain to have a Oil pressure gauge fixed to a Lancer. Please calrify on that too.

Also please tell me if there is any possibilities to have one of these hooked up with the a Lancer?

1. FUEL PRESSURE
2. EXHAUST TEMPERATURE
3. INTAKE MANIFOLD PRESSURE

I need the needles moving when I drive and not have gauges idle around like a volt meter for example .

AP please give me contact details of Karan.

Thanks mate.
