I think these would not be a good thing to do, you should rather go for under body neons which will be water proof to some extent.
The round neons that you are talking about are only like a replacement for you cabin light which is not meant to be under the car.

I can get you Type R under body neons for a good price.

Whats the cost of Type R neons. i had a set of neons but the wires got damaged due to the heat underneath had to take it out. and these were the tubes ones covered with plastic...

is the pic in your avtar with the earlier set of neon tubes or with the round ones.
why dont you take a pic of the car with the neons in the night and then maybe we can judge better.
otherwise its not really advisable since they are not meant to attached to the underbelly of the car.

They cost between 1200-1500 (not sure of the current price) for a pair of 24" tubes. I guess these are made to withstand a lot of heat as the tubes dont get hot by themself and run very cool without draining the battery even a bit!

StreetGlow Neons

Streetglow neons are expensive but worth it, I had hit water logged recidency road near garuda mall and forgot to switch off the neons, they did not even turn off, so came out fine swimming, usually these kits are supposed to turn off till they dry and work again, the kit I have is 2 years old and no damage yet tho I drive fast pretty often.
Instead of spending 4 to 5k on cheap neons every 6 months this looks like the best solution to me,

pls suggest

im plannin to go in for the streetglow blueline series for my zen

a) i think that 2 48" tubes and 2 30" tubes that come with the kit wudb too much for the car. shud i go in for running length streetglow neons instead? i dont want to overdo the lights

b) where and at what price can i source this kit plus other streetglow stuff in bombay.

thanks
