Can you give me the contact number/address for the garages you have mentioned above?[
Sanju, you still havent mentioned what your objective from installing the FFE system is. Do you just want a new end can? Better initials and power at low RPMs, Vroom Vroom etc.

You can get in touch with Keshav (Psycho) on the forum.

RAC - ::..INDEX..::

Talk to RJStyles69 or Akbaree as they recently got FFE systems from Raj. They will be able to guide you better.

Hope this helps.

AutoMech will not do a custom job for you (for Indian cars) unless you know them very very very well and bug them a lot

Hi,
First objective is to get a new exhaust system from head to tail.
Second Objective is a bit of show-off

As mentioned earlier, if a custom made FFE is better than the stock one, and i get it for a lesser cost, (and has no change to fuel consumption), then yes i would go for a custom made FFE rather than stock one.

Thanks

1. New stock system from head to tail will cost you a bomb at the dealership but yes it will be stock!

2. Showoff = Sound ? :-)

3. Custom is better provided its engineered well and materials are of quality.

4.Fuel Efficiency (FE) - "Depends on your driving style" - A very common tune sung on T-Bhp

You are bound to fall in love with the new exhaust note of your car and redline often just to hear the roar. Heavy foot + braking and downshifts result in lower FE. Drive prudently and your FE could even improve ;-p

Just to give you an example Chennai t-bhpian has his power kick in at 4k RPM, this means in the bumper traffic its hardly doing anything whereas open stretches ensures some drag spec fun !

Automech Exhausts from dealers are ridiculously high when I enquired from Aryan Play Systems (Quoted me 14 K for my Alto) and thats too much as if i aint worng it should be around 8 to 9k. Another erstwhile dealer Abdul Khalick (presently not dealing with Automech which he told me) quoted me that it will cost 8250 (entire setup, headers, pipes, stainless steel muffler).

I am driving down to Mumbai from Bangalore next week and decided to purchase automech FFE directly from them and get it installed. So any Mumbai mates point me to garages which do excellent installation and which you personally recommend. I will be staying in Andheri West and want to get it done from people who do a very very good job.

One question guys.If i go for a free flow with headers.
If the headers are tuned for low and mid rpms will the top end become weak?
and by low end how much is the rpm that they will kick in?
If the headers are tuned for mid and high rpms will the low end become weak?
and by mid how much will be the rpm they will kick in?
And if i get it done for mid and high end will my top speed increase?
And if i leave the headers alone and just get the rest of the system how much much the power gains be?

Automech is not a custom FFE. It is a mass produced item.

Get it fitted from automech themselves. I am extremely happy with the install they did on my Vtec.

Cat-Back For Santro

Heyya all,
having gone through all the pages, i still had some queries that I'm hoping would be answered.

Well I have a 2002 Santro LP, that has been sounding deep and rumbly. I know that some over here would be wondering if i've gone mad to change that.
Ever since this exhaust note change, the timbre has gone all wonky. Also, the noxious gases are a health risk. Besides, even at idle, it's a dead giveaway (not quite the way to go when spending some time on TLC )

Now i have read the automech versus the competition saga and do not wish to get into the who's top dog out there.
Just some queries that hopefully shall be answered satisfactorily.
So here we go,

01. Looking for an end can replacement.
Hoping that's what people mean by cat-back exhausts.

02. Been quoted 1650/- for stock replacement at local garage.

03. Looking for replacement options in MS & SS.

04. Car confined to daily city commutes, so looking for improved drivability at stable FE without ending up on the wrong side of the law.

05. Please include recommendations/suggestions along with costs.

NOTE:

Any expenses incurred on car involve tabling recommendations/suggestions before Dad.

Further consideration/deliberation with regards to validity & veracity of claim - followed by approval/ rejection.

If approved, funds disbursed in due course of time.

If *gulp* vetoed, then it's the good 'ol swallowing a bitter pill routine.

So guys, please be patient.
Warm Regards,
Tanmay.
