What do you guys suggest
Changing the end can only will help you with the sound if that's all you want.

Spoke to Automech today,

They quoted around 7.5 k for a full free flow. and 2.5 if I only want the sound to improve.

However they don't have a sample that I can hear. How do I know what I am buying ? I would like to hear it before I buy it.

Can a free flow exhaust also help a Polo 1.6 in recovering from the initial lag in pickup. Was also wondering if it was the catcon the culprit in that case as well.

after market muffler (end can) for my Alto.

What are my options for a after market muffler (end can) for my Alto.

As mentioned earlier I only want a better (sportier) sound not a increase in performance

Yes I have and also spoke to Automech. I dont need a full free flow just a end can, What are my options besides these. I heard some good stuff about 1 smokeage in worli.

I only need sporty sound and the muffler should not harm the engine

I wonder if you have gone through Nikibusa's post on this very thread.

Check it out if you haven't. I simply love the 800 exhaust sound on the second video and i think its been done by smokeage.

Hi Guys,

Raj => Raj Hingorani.
Owns Team Powerwheels.
Based out of Bangalore.

Known as a good tuner and famous for awesome exhausts.
I too got my FFE designed from him for my OHC and i am loving it.

He usually decides how it needs to be done based on your requirements and
informs Shabbir in the garage who is the architect behind the FFE.

Cheers,
Ayyappan

re: Automech exhausts

Hey Bhpian's

Got a FFE installed from Automec around 2 weeks back. 4x2x1
OHC - 1.5

Install duration - 2 and a half hours
Met Vivek , Gem of a person, explained each & every detail , had a great time talking about Cars , Movies , Bollywood.

Installed a silent setup , but after 3 rpm its Music (windows up cant hear anything)

SETUP
MS (Headers - Expansion Chamber - Muffler twin pipe (stainless steel) ) = 12k

Launch-Torque has improved considerably -

Week 1 - Sound is intoxicating so couldn't drive slow , average 7kmpl(city)
Week 2 - Drove very cautiously - average 12kmpl (city)
I have stopped using the A/C

Some pics

re: Automech exhausts

The best person for designing a ffe in Delhi is Phil of Speedsport which is located just off the chatarpur road in south delhi. Hes an absolute wizard with the mechanics of the car and his prices are very reasonable.Raj kapoor of performance auto makes you believe hes designing the ffe himself but actually gets it made from an external source and adds his margin to the price.

I suggest you ditch the expansion chamber after the header.keep a straight through..Im sure your performance and mileage will improve ..
Give it a try..
