Speedworks is located in Nungambakkam. It is located in the building (actually a residential bldg.) just next to the complex which houses the italian resto called Little Italy.

I have a M800 (98 - Carb - 52,000 KM) Model in Chennai and am due for a exhaust change anytime now. The current exhaust (OEM) is apparently corroded. I did call Mr. Jambulingam and was told that a FFE is about 9 - 10 K all inclusive. My Decision making points are as follows and any expert suggestion is more than welcome.

1. I am looking at a 3 - 4 K bill anyways so might as well spend a bit more.
2. The car is in great shape and I have no plans of selling it (First Car)
3. My next investment into the car is for a K&N filter.

I have read on the Automech site about the Headers, end cans, mufflers and I am of the opinion that doing the complete thing (including headers) is what will be helpful rather than putting in just bits and pieces for the sound effects alone. Not sure of thats right and please advise on this as well.

When you go to this place do not forget to check his Zen with 1.3L under hood, the exhaust what it has, got 3 super mufflers and sounds better than a R1 with devil headers.

If its the same car which I am talking about, it was running a 1.6 earlier. I don't think they would stop at the 1.3 .

A noob's question whats a Super Muffler ?

Hey RjStyles, thank you for pointing out super muffler, I meant to say there are they best qualify mufflers. I am very happy I met a Mr. Perfect today(just kidding bro).

I am 100% sure it’s a carburetor engine and its 1.3 L with a red color head and a green cotton air filter. If you need the history of that white Zen, you can PM me. I am very sorry for going O.T.

Finally I am charged with this particular thread,I have MPFI Zen LX 2003 which is very rarely Driven and believe me it has completed merely 9500 kms till date,as a result it still has a very peppy response but still I need a good exhaust note to please my ear drums.

There are some queries to be solved here first....
1) I need the F430 exhaust notes,I know its not possible with this 999cc,4 pot machine, but as i have gone through Ferrari's(F40) exhaust system, there are nearly seven chambers in the muffler which results in soothing Ferrari Music that it produces,
the same exhaust technology is been adapted by multiple custom aftermarket exhausts system like Capristo, etc.The Best I heard is Pagani Zonda with four exhaust pipes thats a Titanium exhaust system.
2) After complete installation, its natural to be harrassed by our cops i.e. R.T.O. Officers, also long back I had gone through an article in BT stating some laws to be considered while going for any kind of modifications to your ride especially about neon lights and high rated systems.
3) The article cleared about the fact that all these modifications can be done BUT only
after R.T.O. approvals and some formalities it mentioned.
4) Coming back to the point,Is there any one who can build one custom exhaust Muffler like the one I mentioned,If it would be built I know it would cost a Bomb, but still how much will be the expense for complete installtion, will it be within 10K or more,Will I hear the same sound from the pipes,I guess NO......cause F430 is 4300cc,
if yes then how? I read about 1.3 zen..cause..
5)Also in Future I think of swapping Swift's 1.3 Petrol Engine under my ZEN hood, will the chasis withstand all that Force & Power. or Do I need Bugatti weight chasis.

Finally got the freeflow done for my OHC 1.5 yesterday from AUTOMECH.
Total cost for the full setup including headers was 9k.There has been a noticeable gain in power after the setup.I am very happy with the setup.

Linky to my cars exhaust note:-

Got a 4x2x1 header setup from Automech for the Suzuki Baleno.

They have a proprietary aluminum coating on the header section which retains the heat for more low-end torque.

What is the cost on that complete exhaust?
Does it come with an end can?

The paint will peel off immediately after fitting, I suggest you powdercoat it. I made the mistake of fitting painted headers.
