Hey Friends,

I got my new K&N filter last week for Alto. Its an amazing piece. I belive the model is 3550 conical filter. costed me around 5.5 for the entire thing I mean including fitting and intake pipes.

Well as said my many friends at this forum there is a beautiful growl on the engine side. I have also noticed there is is less power cut when is AC is on. Have not checked the on FE though.

Got this from Auto Grid in front of CBI(Bangalore). I tried with Ozzone he did not have the stock at that time.

Feel its a very good investment though. Wow

I am planning to fit extreme K&N in my Santro. I searched in methods online. couldn't find extreme one. Is there any outlet in HYD? help. If i purchase it online can i fix it myself (am i ambitious?).
Is there any problem with insurance etc?

Extreme kits from K&N are available for Santro and costs around 8k. If you purchase it online, it'll be a good idea to do DIY. It's not much difficult if you have some familarity with engine parts. But there's no installation manuals given with extreme filters.

Best bet is to find a mechanic who can do this easily.

Hey! Even I paid the same at RAC. Got it fitted from Sanjay. I bet the performance really improves and also the mileage, makes a difference. Also the soothing sound when it growls.....

Did you get a new gearing setup with your filter? Or did you "filtercharge" your speedo as well? There is NO way a normal, stock Swift is doing those speeds in 1st and 2nd gears. And yes, I have driven quite a few Swifts, some to the limit.

No offence to you, but I find it too hard to believe.

Top speed before installation - 145 KMS/H

Performance - Very Good without any engine tuning
Cost - Depends on what filter you use. I used Extreme Filter by K&N for best results. There are cheaper ones also

The best I got so far on gear shifts:
1st Gear = 60 - 70 KMS/H
2nd Gear = 80 - 120 KMS/H
3rd Gear = 130 - 140 KMS/H
4th Gear = the road was not enough
5th Gear =

Installed pics attached

60 KMPH in first gear you must be joking, what does that mean, in 5th gear your car will cross 200 ,

Help needed!!!!!

Hey guys,

I have been reading about the K&N air filter and would like to know a little more about the FE improvment figures and also if there are any dealers in delhi who would be able to supply the filter.

P.S. currently i am looking at the stock option.
