Hello,

I would like to go for paint protection for my Honda City ZX (Black) and through this forum i heard about tpc3carcare.com and "Valuegaurd". While putting sun film of V-Kool, their sales person told me that they also offer "Polycoat Lamination" which comes with 5 years guarantee.

He gave Technical details note and the same can be also read here

http://www.nielindia.com/4400/LM/auto/polycoat.htm

He was quoting Rs. 11000 in pune, Has anyone used this on your cars?

give me your opinion or share your experience for the same.

Thanks & Regards.

A friend of mine has it on his Santro. Its like laminating the car. There would be a thin plastic like layer on top of your paint. Looks good if you can manage to keep your car without scratches.

Downside is if the layer gets scratched, it peels off and looks ugly.

Thanks HarishSegar for reply. What was the cost your friend paid?

Without scratches I am not sure if this is reality in any city traffic.

Thanks & Regards.

just leave Normally Crazy a pm. he had got some paint protection job done on his Ikon (popular on the forum as zulu). I had seen his car the first time when it was i think around three years old, and looked as fresh as a three month old car.
N_C i think has even mentioned the paint protection job in his long term ownership review, give that a read.

manson.

Thanks Manson.

I tried to search thread/user mentioned by you but couldn't get them. Before going for paint protection, I just wanted to find out best option whether PolyCoat Lamination by V-kool is better OR TPC3. Considering quality job done for sun films, I thought even V-Kool’s paint protection must be good.

My point is paint protection will be offered by several vendors but it is better to know experiences of other car enthusiast before opting for one.
