Great News: Maruti to sell Swift mods officially

hi guys,

i read in Autocar magazine Oct issue that Maruti is going to sell mods for swift.

its with a colobration with NTF India.

kids will include full front & rear bumpers, side skirts, rear spoilers, claddings, fenders, wheel arches and air deflectors.

entire kit will cost from Rs.30000 to Rs.60000, though invidual parts will be avaliable for Rs.6000.

best part is kits can be installed easily by car owners & will be of international quality

I read about it. There're plenty of kits of the same quality available in the market from sometime. And why only Swift? Why dont they include all their models? They say it'll be done soon.

Great news! Reliable product and installation will certainly make more owners opt for customisation of their Swifts. I think the Swift has been positioned extremely well, and this move only takes it further.

Yup, NTF is the same company that exihibited the swing doors version at the Expo . But what wud be great news wud be if MUL wud send performance enhancing parts for their models ... getting cosmetic changes done by MUL wudn;t serve any purpose as the basic reason why one gets kits done is to stand out from others who have the same model .

Idea is gud .. how successful it will be -- DEPENDS !!

Cheers

Vertical doors are very popular and if priced right should have a lot of takers in the market. Another thing I noticed is the front grille which is trying to be an Audi wanna be. Not a bad package overall though

Maruti - NTF combo is not new today. I think All the gypsy hard shells are made by them. NTF is into advanced composites but I dont see the quality in designs unless maruti caters some design studios in europe. In fact there was a convention in 2005 where CCI india arranged and they got this manufacturer of mclaren F1 street car (product technik UK) for future possibilities of catering western markets by indian composite manufacturers. Alas it didnt lead any where as we have low quality goods and manufacturing practices. I still doubt we might get a finish of gypsy hard shell and a design of NTF (check their website) . If they can get PU s then We can go ahead to buy them. But injection molds need atleast 10000 pieces once they start(which I consider we cant sell for each design). Well the fact why advanced composites dont work is because high costs and less or no after market exist.

I checked out their site..
Only the swift with whole body kit looks nice..
All others could have been better...

I have heard they will be hiring students from NID to design their kids..

NTF can I too design something??? (just joking...)
