re: StealthCross - My modded black S-Cross

Holy mother of God. Looks terrific, just seeing your thread, I was reminded of your Bolero and Safari and was thinking as to what mods would Jose have done to the S-Cross and boy, it came out really well, just the *right* kind of mods I like and or would have gone ahead with.

The only chink is the missing AWD in the S-Cross, but I think it is about to come.

Please post more pictures

Looks Amazing! Perfectly done without anything looking out of place.
Do you mind sharing the cost? And also did you do the mods yourself or which shop?

Maruti should pay you to use your car in their adverts for SCross. The sales would just zoom!

Huge relief from the glaring chrome grills that we see. The custom grill looks awesome. Did you make it or buy it? The only thing that sticks out is the brake caliper. You can get them some matte black and make the look complete.

Beautifully done! Do you have a longer shot of the car in full frame? That will bring the aesthetics of the change in the full picture for all to see.

Arguably, one of the best looking S-Cross in the country buddy. Seriously, you must post your car pictures on the Maruti FB page and let them know:

How a True Premium Cross Over must Look...In Short, How to Really be Creative

The best part I love about your thoughtful mod is the consistency and uniformity that you have maintained.
I just love the All Black Theme that you have used and a big thumbs up for that buddy.

Importantly, your car deserves just as much place as any other on this thread:

Really?? Even with 17" Rims, there is so much of gap between the wheel and the arches? Is this because you have chosen a very low profile rubber, or is it the angle of the picture?

Please post some longer view shots as already requested by many and many more at that.

re: StealthCross - My modded black S-Cross

I clearly remember the looks of your beasts, the Bolero and the Safari. They were amazing. The S-Cross has been taken to a different level altogether. It looks like a mean-machine (and with that engine, it will go like one too).

I guess the Safari is gone now? Can you share some parting pics of the beast (I have a soft spot for Safari )?
For the tail lights on your S-Cross, did you paint them or applied films on them?

re: StealthCross - My modded black S-Cross

The car looks great Jose. Fantastic mods. I too would like to know where you sourced the front grill and also the headlamps.

Anything planned for 'under the hood'?

Re: StealthCross - My modded black S-Cross

Wow, I never thought that shy and beautiful S-Cross could look so mean!

A job well done. Now get a RaceDynamics Box for your car and you will literally embarrass much expensive cars on road, leaving them baffled what just happened.

Re: StealthCross - My modded black S-Cross

Your car looks really hot. I was never a fan of S-Cross for looks. Mods has totally transformed the car.

To blacken the headlights.. Did you open the headlight assembly and got it painted?

Re: StealthCross - My modded black S-Cross

This is anything but a "Yet Another" modification. It looks lovely.

Please do post some full frames and longer shots, especially of the front. I want to see how the grill looks from a distance.

Re: StealthCross - My modded black S-Cross

Thanks all of you for the kind words!

All mods were done in Cochin by friends/mad buddies. The grill is a modified stock unit and the headlamps were opened and painted/tinted from inside.

The 17" alloy/tyre combination was chosen since I did not want any rubbing/scraping this time around. I had rubbing issues with my last two cars, but they weren't too annoying since the tyres were high profile and could take abuse. These are low profile ones and i thought i will play it safe this time. There is actually quite a gap between the fenders and the tyre which i don't mind. This car has to replace my Safari as my only long distance ride and has to be 100% practical. If this was meant to be a city car, 18" wheels and lowering springs could have enhanced the stance for a really cool look. I'll pass that mod on for now.

Performance mods: Actually I am quite happy with the power delivery of the 1.6. I usually don't point and squirt, so the turbo lag doesn't bother me much. Highway crusing is just something else in this car; it does 100 kmph at a relaxed 1750 rpm! I dont dismiss engine mods completely; I guess if i have a go in one of the remapped 1.6's on the forum; I may!

Re: StealthCross - My modded black S-Cross

Looks nice! Again as everybody is asking, a mid long distance full car shot would be nice.

Is there any issue with throw/beam strength after doing this?
