Pics : 2 Door Soft Top Maruti 800

Hi guys ,
Check this soft-top M800 [SS80 model]. Quality of paint and fittings is very god. Front end is of the zen and rear of the Matiz. The rag top is of an auatorickshaw i guess. free flow, cool alloys and wider tyres, and wheel arches look really good. The car was modified at a local garage.

My dad's friends son recently acquired a new second hand Maruti 800. He wanted to modify it. To make it completely different than the rest of those boring 800's. This was the first time we have ever done such a thing. Talks were on, and he gave us a sample rough sketch of what he wanted the car to look like. It had to be a two-door, two-seater, convertible 800 WITH a rounded boot. It started off by cutting the roof. We got frequent inputs/feedbacks from the guy. We also made a Photoshop design according to his needs, which he eventually liked. The work took about a month. In the end, after all those feedbacks and inputs that we got from him, the car had the following:

Green paint
Maroon bumpers, door handles, mirrors
Red seats
Red door pads
New tyres / Wheel caps [Not shown in pics]
Soft-roof
The rear seats were removed and a compartment was made that would house the speaker box.

Brace yourselves because here are the pics....

Yikes!! Not such a good job but still just about tolerable. He should have chosen better colours. Where are the window controls?

A good job would be something like this!

ooooooo........ hurting my eyes!!

V12, very frankly i think somewhere down the line everyone on this modd lost it, the 800 was stripped of it's character......... where was your influence?
It's extremely hideous.....hideous colours, hedious design, hedious output!!!

@ bigman: What BUSA has posted is a Suzuki Mightyboy that was sold in Australia in the 80's, now that's a whole different story!!!

Here's a rough photoshop job by me!!!

hmmmmm....... i like the whole idea of a soft top 800 , nice and innovative , but dont like the result ! maybe a different colour combination would have made it a shade better , besides i think the rear and front bumpers look too add on ... like its something thats been put on to make up for the real bumper being missing .......
but..... all in all id say its a good effort at being different !
cheers
