I think the all chrome set would be great. It'll look near stock in the daytime, with the angel eye look in the night.

Noticed one thing, there wasnt one lancer with a 'Racing Stripe' in this thread.

I have seen this lancer, a simple plain white one, great looking steel wheels, low prof tyres and with 2 neat strips all the way from the front bumper to the back.

Looked awsome... someting so simple yet so elegant.

The front bumper is actually by Autopsyche, or a copy of his design.

The white one looks nice... The front bumper is ART's, skirts are EVO style and why the hell did he put add on skirts only on the rear?? He should have changed that tooo... And those alloys look HOT!

Project Lancer revival

Hey guys,
I have an offer on a used 2000 Lancer GLXi, fairly cheap (think <2 lacs). I know the car very well.. its in pretty good condition, body-wise.
Suspension & engine need some work.
Is it a good idea buying the car and modifying it? Was thinking of a new Fiesta initially, but was slightly beyond my budget. Plus, i don't think its a good idea to mod a new car.
Mods would be exterior and interior. Engine, suspension, and adding on things like a filter, free flow exhaust, iridium plugs, headers, porting, polishing etc. an upgrade to the ECU is another option i may consider.
Tyres, rims of course...
Also, is it feasible to do an engine swap? I was thinking of an Evo engine... how expensive will that be?
Pls respond with your ideas/suggestions... will make an informed decision thereafter.

thanks!

and finally an evo conversion

Hope that helps
