Well modifying freaks

Each one of us love having to listen to a great exhaust note, to see that header glow red, that turbo spin very fast, that air-filter give the car a breath of fresh-air and those alloys give you goosebumps everytime you see them in your car pictures folder on your comp, flashing straight at you on those meaty R34s or Enzo.

Now here's your chance to do justice to them all. Just name those creators of brilliant works of mechanical and electronic engineering that make your dream cars seem even more dreamier. All you've gotta do is name your top modifiers. Now these could either specialize in a particular field (such as short-shifters/turbos/air-filters/exhausts/alloys etc.) or could be full-fledged modifying houses that do the entire job from bolt 1 to bolt 7129.

These could be Indian or international specialists.

All you need to do is name them and describe their field of expertise (exhausts/gearboxes etc). Also you have to describe, if so, the particular brand of automobiles or type they work on, if applicable,

So get your thinking caps on and start your hunting-list. Take your time, cuz the rule of this thread is Once on, it can't be changed.

Being a life long mercedes fan, AMG is easily the first name that comes to my mind. And then there is Brabus.
Okies revv. here are the other 3. Carlsson, ac schnitzer and alpina. The latter 2 being for bmw.

Hahaha Ported... i know pal... been too busy seeing the Porsche vids you've given me... lol

Excuses apart, i was waiting a bit to see if someone really posts some good lists. But i guess this thread has probably got nearly all of us thinking, checking websites and finalizing our lists. Well here's mine. And in order of preference.

1. Dinan - BMW specialist. What really got me onto them. The Dinan S2 Package on the E-39 BMW M5. 471 horses and a 0-60mph time of sub 4.5 (tests have seen the car do anywhere b/w 4.4-4.1 seconds which is even faster than the AMG tuned E55 at 4.7).
2 UUC Motowerks USA - Another BMW specialist who also specialises in Mini and Audi. What i really like about them? Their shortshifters. And why? Maybe mating it to an M would really make you realise the difference. Bloody nice and pretty. Check out their website http://www.uucmotorwerks.com/ and read up their article on how to shift appropriately.
3. RUF - Porsche tuners. What do i really like about them. Balanced cars that produce good horsepower in the true Porsche tradition. Why, even Ferry Porsche used to buy RUFs for his collection. It just says it all.
4. Gemballa - Their true shot to fame? The Gemball 750. Yup, 750 horses from that lil 3.6 NA engine which you find in the Carrera. With SPIT-FIRE exhausts.
5. Toughie. Got two on my mind. Maybe a joint 5th. Its Nismo for Nissan and AC Schnitzer for BMW. And what i like best bout the two. The R34 specials that Nismo creates and those lovely AC Schnitzer alloys.

I guess it depends on what I want

Autopsyche for his "street racer" kits or to soup up my ride

DC to design a tempo traveller or a fancy van loaded with all the gadgets

Though I think Id rather design somthing myself and just get the work done from somewhere
