Well th K&N websites says that they "Lasts up to 50,000 miles before cleaning is required depending on driving conditions"

Would it vary depending on the Indian condtions? Have you out-done it?

Is it recommended going for K&N Filter for my Maruti WagonR (bought in Mar 2006)? Wont it void the engine warranty? Can I get it fitted by MASS?? What do experts say??

Also, which model is recommended and what will be cost in Bangalore. I might gift the K&N filter to my car as a new year gift ;-D.

You can go for it although my personal advice is not to do anythin under warranty. I havent installed one on my alto either for the same reason.
Some dealers still honour the warranty with the filter whereas some dont.

Please let me know the DO's and DONT's with K&N Filter...

The K&N dealer should have stuck a DO NOT OPEN type sticker on the air filter cover normally. The idea is to have the Maruti/company service guys not open the air filter at all for cleaning. THe K&N needs to be cleaned once every 10-15000 kms, from the K&N recharging kit itself, usually done by the K&N dealer for abt 200 bucks.

I guess stock replacement filters dont void warranty. I did check with Maruti executives. They said no issues. Also they have the K&N cleaning kit with them also.

You could try Glamour Car Accessories or Sachin's Autoshop, both near HDFC Bank, Koramangala or Torque in Indira Nagar. I heard that Surakshaa, Bommanahalli does clean the K&N filter stock replacements. You might want to check with them if you are not able to source it.
