I dont think, so. My friend has an aftermarket "small" steering in his swift and it runs fine. I love the feel of it in the Swift.

But as far as the IKON is considered doesn't it already have a sporty and butchy steering compared to other cars?. I doubt spending 2.5k on an aftermarket steering would be worth.

Maruti Swift vxi 2016 steering change

I own a Maruti swift 2016 vxi model. I want to install the flat bottom steering wheel which comes in the current 2018 Maruti Swift zxi+.

Am I advisable to do so?

Does your car get driver side airbag?

Basically the zxi+ trim has the airbag in steering wheel. The vxi trim of yours ain't having airbags. I think all trims of swift comes with airbags in 2018 model year.

Basically I want to change the steering for the look purpose. Also I will get the steering mounted audio controls. Since my car is not having airbags so majority people are saying "yes" but for me, an advice from the experts at Team-BHP is strictly required.

The issue is, your car has no airbags. The new shape steering(let's call it that without mentioning name/variant to avoid confusion) comes with airbags, whereas the centre trim on your car is only for hornpad.

Re: Maruti Swift vxi 2016 steering change

So suppose if I install the zxi steering of swift 2016 and replace the central part of that steering with mine, so will that work out?
