i was wondering why you weren't thinking of those engines ? they are available very cheap & yet very powerful engines to work with. i am not in any way a modder, but i think your idea is good. why not try a 1 lakh car with these parts & beat TATA to their production ? LOL

i plan on keeping the engine front mounted just like in a bike with scooter tires.Even for the steering i plan to use motorcycle handle and mostly a yezdi frame.

Gonecase_01,

Your project has been mentioned rather vaguely, and unless you specify exactly what you want (in a detailed and fairly technical way) and ask specific questions you will rarely find someone who will type out the entire step by step of what you should do....

What are you planning Quad..or a Gokart??

I think after you give your answer other will surely start pouring in their ideas..

I think a Gokart will be easier to make then a Quad..

Wow.. reminded me of my college days. we had built a Go-Kart way back in 1999.. Had a Kinetic Pride Engine, Direct chain drive to the rear shaft, Auto Rickshaw braking system.. front tyres from the pride and the rear from the auto.. looked more like an off roader.. the kick was inverted.. so as to start like a generator.. was great fun making it.. it was just the dawn on Go- Karts in India.. will try to find some pics of it..

@srk
i want to build a quad or an atv...
and one of the reasons i am doing this is because it is pretty difficult to build an atv than a go-kart..

ATVs maynot be street legal here and 80km/hr may be too mucha speed for any quads. The msot it should do on the safer side is around 50 i think.
