gonecase..
Nice project
I too will have my vacations for 2-3 week starting somewhere from 20th dec.
Will see if I can be of any use...
How about designing it..I can give you some ideas..

How about this..
1. engine from bullet may be 350cc..
2. kit designed in fibre with some cool headlamp..(may be the one from Apache)
3. wheels...(what size can be used? may be maruti's 800 size will be the smallest..)

By the way where do you plan to do it..I mean which area??
parts can be taken form chorbazar or from kurla junkyard...

i guess building a quad bike is quite tough...why dont u just build a gokart instead......ittl be way safer than a quad bike

i would like to take safety in mind..
anyways i have a farm house in panvel where i would love to ride the quad bike rather than a go cart.
also building a quad bike is tough and that is one of the reason for building it.

Nice work there KP!! A couple of questions for you though:

1. Why the scooter wheels & the resultant increase in ride height?
2. Was it a normal scooter engine?
3. What gearbox did you use?

We had plans of installing the suspension sys also but ran out of time.
Secondly we never intended to make a go kart infact we had plans of driving it on normal roads...

Bajaj Chetak 150cc 2 stroke...

Stock Chetak Gearbox..
Maruti 800 gear lever (drive by wire technology )
We transformed the kick start lever by 180 degree to make it start like a generator(using hand)...

The Go kart had a Kinetic Honda engine with automatic transmission

Kpzen That go cart is very nice....Now it just needs some body panels and we have a car for less then the price of a bike...What say??

Gonecase 01..I had seen a program on Tv where this guy had made a huge ATV..with a maruti 800 engine..He used to drive it on road as well as on his farmland....Looked big..But the design was too boxy with many sharp lines..
Though I am not the right person to say this..I would say you 1st design the whole thing..I mean the ride height, seating position,etc..as you dont want it to look and perform bad..I think there are many members who can help you in this case...
