Shopping in the US

Guys,

Iam in the US until Jan and I need guys here to suggest good accessories that I can buy for the car. Iam located in Alexandria, Virginia state and working out of Washington DC. It would be great if you can suggest a store as well where I can get accessories which also includes Performance Gauges.

Thanks guys.

When I was in the States, I either got my stuff from the Autozone stores, or from Ebay.

You pretty much get everything now in India. Also, you need support and compatibility for advanced accessories.

I suggest you check out http://www.cardomain/shop for the products and then google it to see the best available stores to buy it from. Car Domain is high priced but it does have some items at a very low rate.

You can also search for the products on http://www.shopping.com or http://www.bizrate.com to get a comparative price index with avalibility.

Like GTO said, Ebay is a good option.

There are some stores like Autozone and Pepboys that sell car stuff but they sell cheap stuff. The best places to shop is the internet. Their might be some car enthusiast shops around in DC or Virginia. I don't know why the west coast folks have pretty cool car stuff and you could find them on internet. Google them.
Be wary about the Ebay as lot of folks sell cheap and shoddy stuff and 95% of the times they are expensive than ordering from other internet stores. Ebay or other auction sites used to be places where people could get rid of their things lying around but nowadays it is selling place with ripoff happening in the shipping and handling prices. If you find some good stuff on ebay, email the guy on discounting their S&H charges.
I am not sure if I could be any help but you could try PM me. I leave for India the next weekend though. Good luck !

Smoked finish Headlight cover and Tail lights covers are available at this store.

http://www.1888pepboys.com/asearch.aspx.

Iam looking at buying them, but would like to know what is a Mitsubishi Lancer(model 1999) that is available in India called as here in the US.

Don't really think its anything out of the world.. but I've seen that Walmart sometimes has pretty good stuff. Either in terms of gadgets, or things for general car maintainence ..usually very resonably priced. Not sure if you have O'Reilly's out there..they have some handy tools as well.

Don't forget to get a converter for the car accessories that you buy...
India runs on 220-240V, while the US has 110V...
