I love cycling but don't enjoy riding in urban jungles. Does anybody know if cycle carriers are available in India and what would be the price?

Fiat lists cycle carrier in the accessories list on their site but the dealer puts a question mark face when asked for 50% of the accessories listed in the site.

Hey satish, I have a cycle carrier which I had brought down fromt he states years ago. Used to fit it to our 800 at the time and take the cycles out to around the Panvel area and enjoy in the wilderness.

Then I got old enough and just rode out there.

Then i got a licence and forgot all about the cycles

Palio Multijet Cycle carrier needed

Please help me with a cycle carrier as the MTB does not fit into the car without sacrificing passenger space and removing the wheel

I found that Yakima and Thule are the famous brands in roof carrier cycle mounts. I like the upright mounts. Got this model http://www.amazon.com/Thule-Upright-...148892&sr=8-13 And Thule has a dealer in Bangalore http://www.thule.com/en-GB/IN/Shoppi...20Locator.aspx (click at India) I'm planning to buy one by next weekend at the latest before the marathon in Auroville, Pondy.

SportXS at Forum Value Mall (Whitefield) has the Thule Free Way 968 for Rs. 6950. Carries 3 bikes and is rear (Sedan ony I think) mounted.

Are there any cheaper ones available? While Thule is undoubtedly excellent quality and should last a lifetime with proper care, it still hurts to spend so much on a cycle carrier :-)
