Maybe the amby owner panicked when govt started ordering dezires for the babus and thought of camouflaging the old bird :-D

That jeep made me giggle a bit. I mean this comment as a joke only:
The sticker on the left wheel arch should read "Watch out, junk is coming" .
On a serious note, that jeep seems to be quite a fusion from yesteryears cars and modern day stuff.

re: Pics of weird & wacky mod jobs in India!

Hello all saw this Blue Ritz at Delhi Zoo signal today morning. All chromed up and stickers are looking bad. The hood antenna is not needed at all. My dad also said "Itni choti si car pe kitna sara saman laga rakha hei".

PS: Can someone help me by telling whether the Color of car is OEM or a repaint.

thanks

Its OE color, couldn't recall the actual name what maruti says.
Without those "Added accessories" & chrome, the car should look very good with a nice selection of alloys.

I guess this is the paint color of Ritz Genus variant launched in 2010 as an anniversary edition. Not sure if this color is still available though.

Colour is Emrald Blue which was available only for the limited edition.

Ritz Genus was probably the last limited edition to come from Maruti with some real value; based on V variants with some real features like rear wiper, 2 tone dash matching this exterior shade. Shame to see it getting wasted like this!

re: Pics of weird & wacky mod jobs in India!

Hi all, We all are aware that Ferrari, Jaguar, Bentley etc are the ones which have ruled as the most expensive cars at some or the other time but to give a run for their monetary worth the most unexpected entrant to this club is non other than our very own Nano. Tata claimed it to be India's first jewelled car with use of 80 Kg of 22 Carat Gold, 15 Kg Silver and 10,000 gemstones to decorate the car. All this expense gives the most "outstanding" result and proves that "everything that glitters is not gold".

thanks

re: Pics of weird & wacky mod jobs in India!

Why would someone want to put up something like that, on an otherwise decent looking car ?

Well, he has got everything for a match, except two important things-a ball and a kidney pad. He really needs to stick that too-onto the car!
