re: Pics of weird & wacky mod jobs in India!

An Indica I spotted a few days back. Look close and you will note that a lot of work has gone into it starting with the length.

Why? But why such a dangerous modification?
- This car is no more road legal
- No Insurance coverage
- Completely unsafe since the BIW structure is modified, vehicle dynamics gets affected (including braking)

So why spend so much of money on these modifications?

KL registration...Not surprising at all!
Old corolla headlamp, Sunroof, Rear mounted spare wheel, A custom logo Wow! he has done quite a few things on this. A nice idea to salvage a rear ended Indica

Well executed IMO though. Should call this Inca after removing 'di' from Indica

But who cares!
On a serious note, I have no idea, but can he get it registered as a custom built automobile?

I had a coffee-spurting moment just now.
Wasnt the indica marketed as "More car per car"?

So these guys took out the extra "car" from the car?

Ferrari 250 gto series 1 body.

It's messed up because there are design cues taken from series II as well. Seems like someone just searched up vintage ferrari and didn't notice they were two different cars when making the modifications. Oh well...

Re: Tata Xenon Pick-Up Range Launched @ 5.44 Lakhs

Got a pic of this 'Safari' version of the Xenon via whatsapp.

Seems to be designed for use in national parks.

Note how each row of seats is perched higher than the ones in front.

Not exactly weird or wacky, but couldn't find a better thread to post it in.

The quote written on Bottom left of the rear glass (caring for you .. always), answers "What made him think to go for this kind of mod Job".
He is more worried about others (ex. You & me), ramming into his car from rear & eventually ending up paying him the cost of Bumper replacement. So in short its for other's safety, not his own.

I have seen scores of such modified Gypsy at Ranthambore. Those poor cars had gone through an extremely tough life, most were super bouncy (more than what the Gypsy usually is) and driven roughly over terrains where I would not even venture, but then that was their job.

Was this Xenon spotted somewhere in Rajasthan? There is a likelihood of the Xenon replacing the Gypsy.
