There are three kinds of death in this world. There's heart death, there's brain death, and there's being off the network by looking at that Russian Jeep.

Taken from here.
That's a GAZ 69, early 50's model.

A very capable offraoder and was in use by the Russian Military. Only if the owner had restored it to its original colours.

Other then the colour scheme, the Hella lights and the air horns, its quite original.

There is a similar one in Kerala too.

Looks like a macho Russian off-roader; however I didn't like the color scheme used. Esp the silver paint.. could have done better!

Wondering about those air horns I can see in the grill They would definitely be irritating!

Those lamps on the bumper look too low. Won't they bang on any high speed breakers

Poor thing looks funny but would have been better with original milatry fittings and colour. I remember there is one I have seen here in Hyderabad. I didn't know thats a russian jeep thanks for providing this information. Can someone provide more info about this vech (may be in an appropriate thread). Thanks.

A DC job for sale ?

Depending on your perspective and tastes, this car may or may not deserve to be in this thread. One of DC's SUVs is up for sale in Bangalore. A few days ago, I was driving towards Kanteerava stadium when I spotted this green machine at the garage which is well known for used imported cars.

Last Saturday I was going down that road again and this time I had a camera, just slowed down to take a pic; and since it has been parked at this place for over a week, I assume it is up for sale.

The 2nd pic is from DC's website. Unlike many of DCs other creations like Karma etc. etc. this one doesnt seem to have a name to it... if there is, I could not find it. Anyway, enjoy...

May be a change of colour could do some justice, like full black with minimal chrome and aligning the emblem in the centre of the front grill, putting headlamps in proportionate to the macho front grill and may be members could add some to it.

This is what happens when Tata Motors takes over Land Rover in a hurry and leaves a huge debt behind.
