Re: PICS - Modified Honda Citys and Vtecs

you can apply carbon fiber stickering to your original OHC window control module and since its a sticker its completely reversible in case you dont like it.

I have 2 questions .

1) I have seen the Honda badge - Red Color in an accessory shop, and it says (Fits Civic) = Can i fit the same on a 2011 Honda City..?

2) Any source to get hold of a Honda VTech Engine with ECM and accessories. And what price.?

Amazing stuff, just love the way your car looks, loved the steering wheel too. Do you have the pictures of the work in progress? And can you also tell us the process of how you got the rims painted, what paint was used etc. Please post closeup of the rims.

I dont have much pics of the work-in-progress, anyway will upload what i have got.

The rim paints is dupont x1813(BBS Gold) semi-matte finish.[From the dupont-subaru cataloge] and if you are interested you can check the nearest shade which is ENKEI Gold - (X4421)

The Paint cost me 1400 for 200ml. Base coat is grey.

**will upload the close-up pics tomorrow

Re: PICS - Modified Honda Citys and Vtecs

Awesome work Mr k_shanz, Vinyl work looks super neat and seriously makes your ride (one of my fav OHC) look even more killer. Also Subaru Gold color idea for alloys goes superb with your black OHC.

Btw can you please help me with headlight blackening? I am dying to do it on my Swift. I know I'll need a heat gun, headlamp sealant and black paint. I intend to do it myself.

Raj, I guess the pattern on the picture you shared above and the one used by Mr k_shanz are of two different patterns. I was using the vinyl with the pattern you showed on my swift for some months, it is available at many shops in Mumbai (they call it carbon fibre vinyl only) but believe me its not that great neither does it look anything like carbon fibre. Mine even faded to silver within weeks.
I removed all of it and was searching for vinyl used by Mr k_shanz and found it today itself on Ebay.in. Will buy soon.

Here's a pic of vinyl on my car (sorry couldn't find any better pic)

Smoking head-lamps is one of the coolest DIY. You can also try out giving that amber-tint in the side-repeaters cluster, its just like how we tint rear lights.

Re: PICS - Modified Honda Citys and Vtecs

shanz neat stuff man. Are these the original CF stickers of the lookalikes ? How much did you pay for them, coz here in India they cost a bomb(the original ones).

Painting the alloys definitely warrants a DIY thread man, looks uber cool.Me likes .

Re: PICS - Modified Honda Citys and Vtecs

This used to be a friend's old Honda City. It's possibly, one of the cleanest and hottest Hondas I've ever seen. Plenty of mods on it. Including a Jackson Racing Turbo + Intercooler, a loud BOV, new intake, exhausts, suspension mods that include coil-overs and strut-brace. The 15" BBS wheels add a touch of class, and the skirts give it a complete look.

He no longer owns this car. It was sold off. A pete'd Skoda Octavia vRS now takes his parking space.

* These are really really old pictures. So I don't know where the car is now.

They are just the replicates of CF, its just like the regular PVC vinyls. It is very flexible like a cloth when heated, and it hardens to the desired shape when it cools. Its Easy-to-apply stuff! And, in India they are way too expensive, you can check it out at e-bay US. I got it for around 2k, and it really worth it!

Re: PICS - Modified Honda Citys and Vtecs

Its a Beauty. I think mine is the one of the few 'stock' vtecs around here. I am thinking of changing the colour from Silver to Black. Always love black. Your wheels and tyres do look swell mate and add to that the carbon stickering. Neat Job.
