WOW!!! It's a 2 door too.
I think the body panels etc.. (or the whole car) maybe made in India and exported to some foreign country. How unlucky we are? Ain't it?

Ofcourse the car is not stock as evident from the pics. I am just imagining if we had access to small cars like these and only has 2 doors, what could not be done????

Wow, a true AWD! I can see the front and rear differentials. Also the intercooler has neat fitment.
Any more information about this car? Who did the mods, who owns this baby?

That car is an Alto Works, mid to late 80s as far as i remember.

It's got a 660cc turboed intercooled mpfi engine and comes with four wheel drive. The particular car you posted was owned by an Australian who got it imported into Australia, coz it was not available there, It's a home market car. The car is stock. Eventhough it's a 4WD most of the power is channelled towards the front wheels. I had those same pics with me i got it from an australian forum. Even the bodykit is stock and the best thing is that the whole setup including the 4WD could be fitted into our 800 which has the same body type.

Edmund must've seen this long time back

EDIT: Inside the car it has a boxy dash and it has a tachometer and it's got 5 gears. The seats as far as i can remember are like the recaro (sports type) ones, but don't know if it's stock.

A look at the Suzuki Baleno Factory Service Manual shows that
somewhere in the world, even Balenos came with Air-bags, ABS and All-wheel-drive.

Click on the images for an enlarged view

Air-Bags

ABS

All-wheel-drive.

Just compare with the regular one

The all-wheel-drive Baleno with ABS also had an inertial "G"-sensor for sensing deceleration. This G-sensor was bolted to the floor under the console, in the all-wheel-drive Baleno.

And the ABS-equipped Baleno Altura had EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution ) too!
EBD regulates the brake-fluid pressure to the rear wheel brakes, based on signals from rear-wheel transducers. This takes into account varying loads that the Altura Wagon may be subjected to.

I am interested in converting a SS80 or a zen to a AWD (4x4). Can anyone help in locating resources necessary for it. I would need a 4wd / awd gear box with differential & rear drive assy with shaft & accessories.

Re: Suzuki 800/alto turbo AWD

Suzuki has unveiled a turbocharged variant of the Alto named the Alto Works that'll be exclusively sold in Japan

Interestingly the car is offered in MT and AT, with FWD and AWD configurations
