Hi guys, i want to fit a LPg kit in my fiat palio 1.6. any suggestions which brand works best .

Cheers

boss but first let me ask you the reason for you to switchover to LPG..?
what average are you getting with your Palio....?

As far as I know, there is nothing like which brand works best. Check which brand is approved for your car through ARAI website. Almost all kits are Italian and mix of Indian components and work fine, But get one that has service close at hand.

can u give me website address pls.

cheers

i had the opportunity to drive a swift zxi which was fitted with "Star" lpg kit. The install was damn neat. Those who came for the Kerala TBHP meet this time can comment on it as all were surprised when they heard that Swift was running on lpg.

no power drop/ delay. It cost 20k and has a 28kg tank in the place of the spare tyre.

JK, I guess you meant 28 litre tank. Actually the torodial tank (Stepney well tank) capacity is 35 litres. We can fill upto 80% of capacity making the limit as 28 litres. I use the same type but the kit is BRC.

I don't find much of a difference in city driving. But on the highway runs, there is considerable difference in the pickup.

mail4jo; there maybe difference in pickup, but what I meant was that there was no delay/lag when once accelerates.

JK, did you feel that the accelarator pedal is hard in LPG mode? I feel that in my car and I switched to Petrol to see the difference. But on my friend's swift with again a BRC kit, I could not make out that hardness on the pedal. Just wondering if its peculiar to Alto.
