Can Indica Xeta foglights be fitted onto an OHC?

I'm planning to put a set of foglights onto my OHC. Most of the times I have seen round ones fitted into the fog light inserts present on the OHC.

Recently I noticed that the shape of the Indica Xeta fog light insert is quite similar to that on the OHC and the Xeta comes with foglights in that particular shape. Would it possible to fit the Xeta foglamps onto the OHC because if they do it will be a perfect fit into the bumper inserts?

Good spotting Dippy do let us know how the experiment goes. If it works I might have just found a good pair of foglights for my car too!

If you can fit those in, you can get them from accessory shop for about 400rs + 450rs for a set of high end philips H3

Try the Palio headlight too. One of my friend has fitted the same on his OHC. They look damn neat. It did undergo some fabrication, but it is well worth it.

Palio headlights seem to be the favourite headlight mod - I've seen them on Cielos, Sierras and even an ugly job on a BOLERO!

Checked with one of the 'modders' why this is so and he said that its lines are clean and simple and can therefore be morphed with most car designs, and 2ndly its the favourite for everyone who wants more powerful headlamps as you can have hi and lo beams on together, giving you 4 headlamps in effect.

Dippy,

The Indica fog lights though are of the same shape more or less, is a size bigger than the slot on the bumper for the OHC. what makes it worse, the Indica fog lights have a step (it is smaller on the outer ring, but increases by another half-inch in diameter... sorry about my terminology but I hope you get the idea) and hence will not be a direct fit on the OHC.

I tried this earlier when the facelifted Indica was launched, so am assuming the Xeta fog lights are the same. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Cheers

Sri

Fog lights

Hi There

Check the attached link below , I bought these lights from Delhi cost me a bomb though approx 5.5 k made in Taiwan apparently , these have a good spread pretty useful for highway driving and are a perfect fit

Am sure you should be able to get these quite easily in Mumbai..

Sorry Dippy, there are not many options for the OHC (Surprisingly!!!). The only option we have that will not need a lot of tinkering is the round shaped ones.

I had given up my search for the perfect fog lamps since I could not find anything of that shape.

These are similar to the OE ones, good if you are not particular about the shape.

If you want good round driving lamps (& on the presumption the Xeta ones don't fit), you could also get the ones I've got, from Sainath Motors on Avantibai Gokhale Street at Opera House.

A pic's available in my gallery as well (http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indiancarpicture-281.html)

Hey Dippy, to add salt to your wounds, here's what your beautiful ride would look like if the Xeta lights did fit. I've also given you an option with round lights like mine.
