You are right buddy.. I too followed a CIVIC side-by-side for a furlong or more just peeking at its speedo. I thought it was a Temp gauge that changed values. And nearly wanted to have it installed in my Scorpio.

I came to know that it was a speedo when I test drove one a few days later.
