Lastly, is art leather recommended for Hyderabad weather ?

Thanks
I got my Civic done at Decars in Banjara Hills, costed Rs 12500 for my Civic. Went for Nappa Sport variety which looks quite strong. Happy with it. You can try them.

Re: Art Leather Seat Covers

Took delivery of my new Amaze V CVT Diesel in White color and got my seat cover done. Following are the details if it might help.

Vendor - VV Car Decor, near AGS, Navallur, Chennai
Contact Person : Mr. Vadivel 9941331112
Material : High Dense PU with backing foam, made to Order
Quality : extremely soft, at the same time tough with mild textures - looks very close to a Natural Leather
Color : Camel - Single color with Double Stitch
Fixing time : 5 hours
Fit : OE fit or otherwise called removing the Factory skin/fabric and work on the new cover directly on to the Sponge material and its corresponding hooks.

Advantages :
Supreme fit with all contours well defined
No Wrinkles
No damage to the seats i.e., no needles inserted etc.,
No Paste/Adhesive used except for a little of quick glue at few tricky places
Extra comfortable when compared to the factory seat covers

Some pictures for you..

I knew this person for quite sometime and i am very satisfied with his work and hence thought of putting it in the forum for people who would like to do similar stuff.

The price range for this sort of work & material will be in the range of 15K as a ballpark figure.

Hope this helps

Swami

Re: Art Leather Seat Covers

How do these leatherette covers fare in heat? My grand i10 has semi fabric seats so do aftermarket covers also come like this ? I would prefer it to have some fabric to stay cooler in Gurgaon summers. The full fabric covers i have seen till now look a bit cheap.

Re: Art Leather Seat Covers

I am planning to get after market Art/ Nappa Leather seat covers fit on my Innova Crysta. An after-market dealer and he suggested ripping of the original fabric seat covers and installing the Art Leather seat covers. I am not really sure, whether ripping off the seat covers is a good idea. He says it gives a better and more comfortable finish.

What's better:
1. Ripping the fabric and getting these seat covers installed?
2. Getting normal faux leather seat covers installed?
3. Or getting Toyota Genuine Leather seat covers installed?

Any experiences will be great to know. Thanks in advance and safe motoring!

I have had art leather seat covers installed in 4 of my/family cars and not once did we rip the original factory fitted seat cover. And yes, fit and finish was always great each time.

*Do you plan to get the Toyota genuine leather seat covers factory fitted (as part of standard kit in higher variants) or buy them as an accessory ? If bought as an accessory, they would likely be fitted over the OEM covers without ripping the OEM covers.

Thanks! Yes, I wasn't really comfortable with this idea of ripping of original covers! Glad to know that this hunch has experienced backers!

Now to decide between the genuine leather Tata Genuine accessory or get those fitted after-market.

Well I have installed leather seat covers on my Creta here in Mumbai. On my Creta they have removed the original fabric seat covers and stiched the new leather seat covers on the seat foam, giving it a much superior fit/finish and I find the seats a bit more supportive than stock.

Go through this thread for more info. https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/mumba...st-mumbai.html (Hi-Tech automotive seat covers - Malad West, Mumbai)

Attaching two pictures for reference.

Re: Art Leather Seat Covers

If anyone is planning to get seat covers from Trend, HSR Layout, Bangalore, please avoid since the quality of their work has fallen quite a bit.

Check thread, comment# 21 for my experience.
