Hey,
slip on types are where the cover is just slipped onto a seat and are very loose wheras proper seat covers grip the seat and are more comfortable.
Art leather should cost between 3 - 6K depending on type and quality.
Cheers

Slip-ons are put over the existing fabric. Kind of ready made and pulled over the seat. In my opinion they are not that good looking...

Long time back i have checked with the Stanley. They do a good job... but it was slightly costly. They offered some thing like, leather on the parts of the seat where u sit... and rest are with art leather. Came to 12+k. depends on the car.

I got Stanley Art Leather interior work done in my Palio yesterday. Colour combo = Black + Cinnamon. I got the seats, door-panels, gear boot & steering wheel done. The gear boot & steering wheel are genuine leather. The rest are PU. The steering wheel cover will be here in 3-4 days.

I got G-Sport art leather seat-cover done for my Innova (7 seater) today. There are 3 choices, Signet (cheapest, thinnest), Luster (thicker with a cotton padding) and Perforated (the costliest). I took the Luster option, which did cost 9K (list price is 9750). The thing I like is the amount of customization they let you do, where you sit with the guy with drawing papers and design the colors and patterns.

Thanks for the nice words, folks :-)

The seat covers, the door-panels (front & back), the gear-boot & steering wheel (the last two are genuine leather) came to 13.5K (from Stanley). I did get a discount on this. I had the original seat fabric removed and sent to Stanley in Bangalore so that they could stitch to exact measurements. The door-panel designs and measurements (the front door-panel needed more material) were also sent to them for perfect fitting.

There was quite a bit of additional labour cost involved for the front-door panel work (at the installer's end).
