aza was like, had it been "who's got a louder exhaust" contest , he would have surely won

It is a silver santro xing (aug '05),my 18th birthday gift and my most prized possession.
I love my car more than anything, as is the case with most of the guys on this forum.

So here goes a list of mods I have on this car.

First of all performance:
K&N conical filter with custom made cold air intake with a velocity stack in it.

Free flow exhaust setup with tuned headers(4x2x1) for low and mid end power designed by Viper Performance(Jignesh).

This the "best bang for the buck" performance upgrade you can do to your santro.
I did test drive a santro with automech freeflow setup (with headers) but didnt find a considerable difference and found the exhaust note to be very buzzzy. Then I asked the automech dealer that I want the exhaust setup
for low and mid end power and with a very mild yet sporty sound that too when I cross the 3k mark. So I ask him how long is it going to take to get it made and he tells that he has it in stock and I can get it installed right now. I wondered how did they have such a spec in stock or was it one spec fits all policy so I left the place.
Then I contacted Viper(he has very good reputation on the forum) and had him send the setup over to delhi.
I was amazed by the quality of the stuff I recieved especially the headers with the white ceramic coating.
The car has amazing low and mid end torque and is absolutely silent below 3000 rpm.

The car also has a Sunpro 5" tachometer with shiftlight

ICE:
Sony GTX 550 HU
Hertz ECX130 - Rear fill
JBL 4" - Frontstage ( upgrade still being planned, to be executed very soon )
2 pioneer 306dvc
Alpine amp running the subs ( being upgraded to audison soon )
No damping as of now.

Some taiwanese made 13" alloys with 165/65 R13 rubber

Exterior mods:

Smoked out tail lamps

A few stickers here and there

Last but not the least

4300K dual beam H4 HID xenon headlamps (damn these are bright)
harsh, that looks so cooool! could you think of a better location for those stickers though? :-)

am a newbie here. i own a xing 2005 model, and the only performance mod is a K&N universal filter. wanted to know the exact model numbers for the K&N universal conical filter and the velocity stack. also does the intake need to be custom made or is something available ?

was also thinking of getting a cheaper sunpro tachometer that is DIS compliant but doesn't have the shift light. like a sunpro CP2012....your take on that ?

thanx!

sunpro normal and dis copatible tacho are not avaliable in india.
they have to be ordered from ebay or someone can carry one down for you.
they are 55$ to 125$.

there is one dis compatibe tach in the cassified section for 5500.

back to topic
AZA, carZest, harsh87, anyone who has fittied a tacho to the ignition coil in a santro, Are my assuptions correct? What i have circled is the Dual ignition system?
