Will Palio 1.6 sports pedals fit on Ikon. They might be cheaper and easier to get. Just a guess....

buddy. while installing these fancy things have a look at the rear of the pedal,. the way most of the are mounted the bolts which are used to fit it stick out and sometimes prevent you from flooring the pedal down completely specially when you have a nice thick floor mat. also see the sizes of each pedal covers or whatever it is called that, when you depress the brake pedal the accelerator also should not get depressed.

Hi Gigy,

I have the same concern when I drove my frds palio the sport pedals were a bit large which need to get used to.

I am thinking to p[refer the eact size ones rather try universala types.

The pedals i saw at ford are not blot fitted they are just plugged on like a cover , at the back they have hard rubber grips cling on to the pedals.

Don't these get loose after time?

AFAIK sports pedals are metal. How do they give a better grip than rubber pedals?

As far as my knowledge of physics and friction goes, they don't. A shiny metal surface will always be less grippy than a rubber one. Some of the metal ones are ridged/grooved which improves the grip.

Don't think it serves much of a purpose - just adds a "sporty" touch to your interiors
