yes,
but the original suggestion did not mention rechipping.. it was only for air filter, exhaust, wires and plugs..
the laugh is about 25BHP gain due to freeflow from a stock Indian spec civic with wires, plugs and filter

seriously chetanhanda it is possible to get a 25 bhp gain on a stock car in your world i guess

u do need engine port & polish, headers, iridium sparkplugs with high capacity cables , cold air intake. transmission , cooling, fuel delivery, forced induction

do read the whole thread when you post ( we are still talking about tunning a civic here )

IF I AM WRONG - DO POST THE BOOST WE GET and GUYS LAUGH AS MUCH AS YOU WANT
i might be new to this but seriously guys am i completely wrong

if you havent got the point till now then read again...what we are saying....
It is a joke to ..repeating again to get 25BHP gain based on a exhaust modification from a free flow exhaust system on a stock civic with plugs and wires...

For your reference I'm quoting you again, plz read this and come back in to this world..where we were discussing tuning a civic.

what do you mean by 30 BHP again with filter, plug, wire and exhaust sytem on a civic ? which civic are you talking about ?

Why do you keep insisting on 30 BHP gains with just these mods..why are you so confident about this ? why do you think we people spend so much time and money on so many mods to gain 30 HP at the wheels additional to just exhaust, plug, wire and filter ?

revtech mentioned zen becoz he was joking, he was trying to apply your tuning advice to his zen and calculate the results, of course dude we know we are talking about a civic..

boy o boy if that is the case .... with all that* (read with no turbo) my padmini will beat the 1.8 Turbo Padmini (@Mumbai SR) ... :

no hard feelings though.

*FFE + plugs & wires + air filter + porting & polishing [+ High cams + 60pistons + Weber carb]

chetan has covered exactly what i had to say.lets just get back to civic mod time and consider about 5% BHP gains with these type of mods rather tthan 25 % LOL.

ive made a mistake with the pricing and i apologise for that. a stock replacement filter wouldnt cost more than 6k would it? ive read here somewhere a long time ago that a ffe and air filter was 15k. please enlighten me with the real prices of these? viper?

chetanhanda - ive read here that plugs and wires do improve performance.. why cant they be called a performance mod?

Whats the breakup on all the stuff he's mentioned?
Exhaust: 10 k approx
Ractive Filter: 1500
How much for the plugs and wires, if anything over 8-9 k then i doubt they are worth going in for!!

IMO 20K seems an 'ok' budget for all the four things.

Ah. Thanks for the reply. Keep posting guys.

UPDATE:-
17" wheels installed. 225/45 R17 Goodyear Eagle F1 D3 tyres.
ICE installed.
Neons and other cosmetics taken care of.

Now time for Performance. ;-) ;-)
Right now stock performance is plain jane. Not much thrust.

EDIT: Somebody mentioned BiXenon. How??? and for that matter...are there even single Xenon (low beam) projector HID setups available for the Civic. All I could find were for the US version. Not our Asian version.
