This engine now resides in a Dolphin (after I "re-kindled" the racing spirit in my mentor; how ironical) which was supposed to have raced in Speedrun '06 but we couldnt finish the car in time. Its a sleeper in the true sense, we found the car buried halfway in a field in Maddur and planned to race it as is, without any exterior mods. Even the wheels had rust on them and that would have been something to watch, even though it might not have won against the present open class cars.

Ananth
Ananth,

Do you happen to know anyone that might have such a fiat engine for sale?

Cheers,

it belongs to outlaw @ TBHP (Wasif at Bangalore) - the car is at Mangalore now with his dad.

the tyres & wheels (13 inchers) were imported from singapore. it still has stock suspension.

i don't think it is for sale.

Re-stored Fiat!

Am not a Classic Fiat owner but i like it very much! Love this car very much!
It is fully restored, now running on Gypsy Carbs and a FFE! There is sparco hood clips, hood scoop and very neatly done upholistery, 13" ducaro rubber on alloy wheels!

Or Hyderabad for that metter to meet a certain Shyam and see if we can "marao" a certain Standard 10 and then fit twin carbs on it. By the way, I had seen a super 10 with twin carbs and driven it too.

Best regards,

And the certain Shyam would've got you any number of certain Standard 10s/Pennants had you made it to Hyderabad atleast 10 years ago, when such cars could be had for throwaway prices!

Interesting to know about the twin carb Super 10- any pics. of it?

I'll agree, a very nicely done up Fiat in Calicut. When I was a kid there was a Mr. Merchant who used to park his three fancy fiats in my building. All three had the works with pioneer music sys with eq/amp, nice paint and skirts done by mid-town motors, with vrrroooomm vroooom sound. He had a driver who would do all the mechanical work right here. Grew up longing to have a fiat like that. Then bought a few and souped up one and drove all the way to mount abu and back. Enjoyed every bit of that drive. Fuel economy was 14 kmpl. Never got an opportunity after that to do up a Fiat but that urge is still there. Have a few parts stashed up for that, double barrel webber, Exhaust, meters, Lights, afloor shift and a nice lil FIAT steering wheel. Sigh!!! maybe some day I will.

Hello Nigel - by the way is Mr.Merchant's first name Harshit? If yes, he is on the forum. And please please please post photographs of the double barrel Weber carburettor. Do you have the intake manifold also?

Best regards,

This car was done up in coimbatore, at a friends garage. here's a pic taken while the work was just getting complete. Is it in calicut now?
