There is a shop by the name Krishna seats in Milan subway area, they are into seat covers but have seen them work on carpets as well. Do try him out as they are pretty reasonable for the quality they provide, FYI ive got my lancers and a cousins OHC seat covers from him.
Thanks for the response buddy. Yes, i am talking about the Vinly Carpetting which is normally done on the House Flooring, that type of Vinyl covering have seen in some of the cars from South India as well as Mumbai.

Wanted to know, in case there is a place where i can get it done in Mumbai.

I have seen few shops doing this. They area located just behind Natesan park, T.nagar. Not sure about the cost though. Whenever I get a chance to go to Natesan park, I normally find 2-3 vehicles being vinyl carpetted.

Wont M.A.S.S be able to do the carpetting? Is the pricing too high?

Re: Car Carpets

Folks - Any idea if the Maruti 800 carpet is available as a MGP (Maruti Genuine Part) spare part ? Need to change it on our M800. If available what's the approximate price ?
If not available, are there any after market options and how much will they cost ?

Call these folks and you should get some leads if they still sell that as MGP:

ESSAR: 080-41496705/6675

NEMA: 080-23101015/14

Otherwise, you can actually settle for mats from various brands available online.

These guys are good too:

Oh Sorry my mistake! For Floor carpet please head to JC Road. There are at least 5 huge shops around MLCP. You will get exactly the same material from these shops in various colors (Grey, Beige, Black).

I have done it as DIY for my WagonR and installed this as a second layer on top of OE carpet.

Measure the floor area of the M800 and buy it from these shop where they sell that for around 160-200 for 1ftX4ft as part the roll.

I have used the same material even to DIY speaker boxes and cover them.

EDIT: If you have the time and patience, you can do that as a DIY too.

1. Remove all seats
2. Remove the gear lever center console
3. Remove/Loosen all knobs and clips holding the carpet to the floor
4. Pull the carpet out.
5. Place that on the new layer that you bought
6. Mark and cut the carpet as per shape
7. Also cut holes required for Seat bolts and Hand brake levers as applicable.

Thanks again @parag
Bought the carpet for the Maruti 800 from Essarr Automotives today.
No colour options, only Grey is available, details below:
Part # 75031MB4080-722 CARPET SET (HITKARI)
Price Rs.743 inclusive of taxes

Very nice and friendly people at this outlet, they close at 6pm but I happened to pass that way around 7.45pm and took a chance - they were almost winding up for the day with account/inventory closure, etc. Immediately obliged and gave me the carpet, didn't even have to explain that I came from the other side of the city, etc - awesome customer service

Re: Car Carpets

I have been looking for a shop that retails in CARPET Fabric, all over chennai. I Wanted to carpet the interiors of my ol' 800 and my friends 118ne myself. But looks like its impossible to source the fabric in chennai. Anybody knows where i can get the cloth/fabric in chennai for this DIY project ? I would be very grateful

Re: Car Carpets

Hi Friends,

I have a Santro Xing 2005 model. There was oil leakage from steering system twice, which has been fixed now.
However, it has caused all the original car floor carpet on driver side to be oily. FNG and Bosch service center did clean it, but, that is not clean enough.
Do you know any shop in Gurgaon or NCR, where I can get a new Santro floor carpet ?
Regards,
Abhishek

Re: Car Carpets

reviving an old thread...

I am looking to change the entire floor carpet of my xtrail. I dont think I will get original carpet anywhere so open for someone to tailor made them and do a good installation.

Any leads for this type of work in bangalore would be highly appreciated...

Re: Car Carpets

Bumping this thread again.

Can anybody tell me from where can I source the material for car carpet? The material which is beneath the top layer of the carpet. This is what I need, found them while searching boodmo but they're expensive and available only for specific models. I need it loose, in sq ft, meter however possible.

I managed to get a simple pink foam sheet, but after reading various threads now I'm apprehensive if it's good for car's flooring.
