I am planning to upgrade my old Ford Ikon which is a 2001 Model 1.6Zxi. I am planning to replace the factory fitted front suspensions with a new one. I dont want to go for the factory fitting of the suspension.

Please suggest me directions where i can get a new suspension fixed in Chennai/Bangalore and also the cost if possible please: . I am planning to replace only the front suspension.

Aha...a josh machine that needs new springs? Give the local Koni dealer a buzz and please, budget permitting...change both front/rear suspension.

Any idea of the cost of front rear suspension both OEM & Koni?

Contact Psycho (member on this forum). He apparently has worked wonders on suspensions for the esteem, dicor and other cars.

As far as Koni's go, i've read about the Koni FSD's which are presently available only for the Octi and they really kick some @$$. Try other Koni variants. For more info, visit www.methodsonline.com

Alternatively you can try Pedders suspensions too. Electra Automotive in chennai stock pedders suspensions and i've heard they are as good as Koni's if not better.

Electra is in old mahaballipuram road...It comes to ur right in about 2 to 3 Kms from tidel park. There is a Cars India to your left you can keep that as landmark.

I still havent seen any post which concludes what suspension are good and available. In mumbai i cant find any dealers to provide me good suspension for Ford Ikon, please throw some light on it.

Today I visited Sheeji Ford in Thane, Mumbai for rattles in my 2003 ford ikon 1.6 nxt zxi.
And for complete suspension (Front and rear) the estimated quote is around 40-45K.
So, I was too looking for KONI.
If any info please pass it on.
