Ricky, you are very well aware that we are both in the same boat with regards to the broken parts even to the extent that on my insistence you speak to the importer directly on a daily basis in regards to the same, and both of us get the same answer. (Your earlier post is technically correct but not in the right context for readers hence the explanation from my side)

I've always told you im with you on whatever action plan you want to take in regards to returning this engine, or getting a new engine or waiting for parts to come, or not doing anything with the car at all.... our steps are all with your decesion since day one of the project.

PS: I have an EVO6 ready at bay, all parts intact, what say

I think you are reading too much between the lines !! I am a simple straight forward guy who does not mince or sugar coats words . So let's put an end to this fruitless game (if I may call it that) & think of the deadline for the engine to fire or else find a "suitable " alternative.

How much for the EVO 6 ????? Is it available on installments ?

Take a chill pill

Cheers

Hehe.looks like i'm gonna be test driving an EVO 6.oooh!!

on a serious note.stick by the deadline.because it ain't worth this much tension and frustration.
wait for some time and get more funds collected.and go full bore on a better setup.

all the best.

and when the fun's of the heights of a high performance car then why not.

Oh yes in giving you good advice,i have my vested interests too.

Thing is i don't want you to get so frustrated that you forget this MIVEC thing and give up.Like i did.Couldn't take all that tension.
And if you give up i lose my TD.

Were all the parts intact when it left from original location (bangkok/malaysia). Did somebody physically inspected the condition of engine before it left from original location?

I guess the importer must have had someone inspect it. Personally I would not know.

just have a firm stand on what you decide and things will automatically fall in place.

Thanks for your suggestion.
Engines are usually shipped on a wodden rack & tied up, don't know how it was send in your case. I think you & Arush should speak to the importer regarding this, its his negligence that has caused this problem, why you should suffer?

Hey Jitu,

Could not agree with you more - WHY SHOULD I SUFFER AFTER SPENDING A BOMB. The engine came tied to a plastic base, I took up the issue with Arush as it was got thru him. He did not seem very pleased with the manner it came in either. I am not sure he spoke to the "relevent person" I think he did though !!

The negligence is what ticked me off !! Else I would be zooming around in my Lancer today !!

Anyway the deadline as I said is 15th Nov. Post that it is an open field - all contenders welcome

Cheers

After that i'd say you definitely have a talk with Sideways(farhan).I'd bet the price to reliability and performance ratio would be highest there.

Was the shipment insured? If it was, then the courier company should pay for damages.
