Farhan, your ride's looking sweet!! Love the EVO4 bonnet. Update your gallery with some new pics dude.

@BBS: Nice PS work again my friend. Try incorporating the hood on Sideways' car onto Ricky's. And just as an experiment, try colouring the indicators the same as the car... looks killer in black, may look good in red too!

Success at last, after about an hour of searching, got the perfect donor pic.

@farhan: here it is with the Evo 4 hood.

IMHO. the previous hood looked better. This hood looks like Hitler's mustache.

BADBOYSCAD..you are the man !! Your potoshop skills are WOW. Please spare me any further expense. I like my car the way it looks (for now)

Thank you all for all the inputs, suggestions, praise, compliments etc etc. Before any more cosmetic changes I would like to get the engine sorted out.

The car is going to get a full body rubbing tommorow & then I think she's pretty much done !!

@sideways

The car already has skirtings, similar to what your car has. The rear bumper also has a skirting though that is custom made not the normal EVO one !!

I am quite inclined towards the EVO setup, BUT for the cost & more importantly the reliability factor. The MIVEC engine coming in the way it did, has seriously made me think & re-think about the EVO. I will presently make do with the MIVEC (whenever it finally happens)

Cheers

My older grill did have a Mitsu logo stuck on it, why don't we put it on the new grill - it will complete the look !!

I totally understand Rakesh. However there are 2 important reasons as to why I changed the bonnet.

1) As I have already explained to you in the past, this engine is still a very small engine. Therefore it is important to keep the weight down to as minimum as possible. There is nearly a 10 to 12 kilogram difference in weight between an original EVO IV bonnet and the stock one.

2) This engine by default generates quite a bit of heat. I have noticed quite a vast difference in under hood temps due to the vents in the EVO IV bonnet.

It is primarily for the above reasons that I switched over. The fact that it completed the overall look only came as a bonus.

I understand that the engine still needs to be transplanted, which now is the primary goal. If not for now, do please consider changing the hood sometime in the near future. It will help.

Cheers and best of luck.

Farhan, how much would an EVO bonnet cost (all incl) and where did you source it from? Did it come with your EVO bumper?
Also, do you know if there is any resale value for the OE bonnet?

Bonnet should cost 10 to 12K. I bought mine off a friend who had some extra bits lying around. No idea of the resale value of the OE bonnet. Still have mine lying around.

Cheers.
