The inner road of gurgaon are really bad with huge Speed breakers. Lowering the car if your driving on those roads could cause some damage.

sir, we were talking from a car lovers point of view not from a businessman's and for the alloys they did look good when the car was a lancer but now that it is EVOlving it would need rims that complete this look .

Ricky mate you should probably get the coilovers the adjustable ones. This way you can decide when you wanna go low on good roads and go up a notch to standard height if you want to. Get the Hotbits mate jsut like the ones on Abix's cedia.

Ricky, where are you looking for the MIVEC? Are you sticking to the 4g92, or looking at the 4g63 or possibly the 6a12?

@harmon

Thanks for the sugestions. I am OK with stock suspension UNTILL my transplant happens.

As for the hotbits adjustable suspension. I don't think one ever actually "adjusts" the suspension. Maybe Konis would be a better option.

Cheers

Still stuck on the 4g92 (simplest option), finding out at various places..

@accordmasters
I do hope you hear the roar of the engine tommorow. All the best.

Cheers

Get bigger rubber and rims.
Will make the car hotter.

@vandan

The decision was made as it is an absolute bolt on engine with great performance...but it was not to be, if you read about the misfortune of the broken parts. Hence the car is still running on stock engine.

@m4ugr8 & abhinav

I agree that the bigger rims & tyres will do a lot for the looks, but beyond a point it is performance that I wanted. I am very happy with the 15" wheels, no tension of potholes & bad roads.

Thanks for the kind words - gentlemen.

Cheers

Shockers gone !!!!!!!!

As luck would have it the dampers (all 4) have developed leaks this at 4800 kms in all since the re-build . Even abused cars don't have the dampers pack up so soon.

Whereas the original dampers in this car had done close to 1,00,000 kms.

As I remember Gabriel was what was fitted - which ones should I go for now ??

Any inputs welcome

Rebuilds dampers rarely last. Would suggest you go for Konis or Pedders after careful consideration of what you expect out of your ride.
