I brought one of those and got some good service out of it.

For 600Rs (or was it 500Rs) electric pump that I brought from ebay, I would say that I got my money's worth. It served me well for close to a year but knocked off few months back.

It was working, when it was with me, so not sure if the "death" was due to mis-use of just due to the end of its life line.

So, to sum up - value for money, especially when it did save me a couple of times on the highway, when I had developed a leak in a wheel due to rim bend (tubeless).

I like the slime air compressor. Used to be available at N1, been following it up since about 6 months, not in stock. If anyone can recommend a good air compressor for about 2-2.5K would be nice.

I too would like to get a durable and reliable one, either battery or foot operated. Years back, bought one foot pump from Coimbatore for a real cheap price and it lasted for years and was useful in emergencies.

SPAR Bangalore is currently selling a electric air pump (cigarette lighter socket compatible) for only Rs. 500. Looks of reasonable quality with an analogue dial.

I got an analog tyre pressure guage, and an electric pump. The pump claimed to be able to do 250 PSI, and the guage is appropriately graduated. This means it is difficult out smaller divisions - like 29PSI or 33 PSI.

And the pump died out after 8 fills - it is making the noise, but air is being lost, rather than filled.
