Ok this is scary. One of a few negative feedbacks for the seller. Hope lockdown is not taking a toll on him too.

They have a couple of options, and the rubberized one is an option. I guess you got the other one.

I bought the Tyvek cover and it's good.

And from my experience, you won't get a prompt response to messages. Better to call him on phone.

Re: Review: Coverwell car covers

I placed an order (basic cover) last Saturday and could pay online. I received order confirmation email and that was it. No phone call, no tracking info, no status update etc. and I forgot about this order. I got the cover today and I like this no nonsense approch, you place the order and they deliver on time.

I have not checked it yet, hope there is no issue with the cover.

It's wonderful if everything works as expected, the happy path.

I'm scared of this approach after facing numerous delivery issues like packages getting missed, shipped to the wrong pin-code, wrong phone due to typos, etc.

I contacted Coverwell to get the tracking information and the owner shared the shipping label over WhatsApp after a few reminders.

While frequent status updates may be annoying, I think sharing the tracking code isn't a bad idea. I always verify the details as soon as I get the tracking code so that I can correct any wrong info before it's too late. I like Delhivery as they allow me to track packages without knowing tracking info, using my phone number & an OTP.

Mods: Sorry if it's a little off-topic.

Re: Review: Coverwell car covers

I tried the cover yesterday.

Type: Basic dust& heat proof scratch less waterproof
Color: Grey
Car: Honda City 5th gen
Order to delivery: Less than a week (to Kerala)
Price: 2380 (including delivery charges)

Short review
Fit - very good. It also has elastic bottom which keeps the cover in place during windy conditions.
Material - good. Thicker and heavier than the normal cover you get in the market.
Ease of use: You need someones help to cover.
Issues: Couple of small holes noticed and water may enter through it.
Rating: 4/5

I have a covered parking space so was looking for a basic cover.

I folded the mirror that is the reason cover looks bit stretched in the picture. It looks fine if I keep the mirror open.

Re: Review: Coverwell car covers

Got a waterproof cover from Coverwell delivered today for my Harrier. Ordered online after a chat with the proprietor, delivery took exactly 1 week.

Fit is perfect, does not sway at all with the winds. Material seems good, flexible and soft on the inside. Will wait and see how good it performs in the Bengaluru rains.

Re: Review: Coverwell car covers

I bought 2 more covers today, one to replace for Polo and another one for the Ignis.

As usual good material (I got the waterproof ones) and good fits.

Here are the pictures:
The Polo

Ignis

And here's an update on my one year old cover on the Octavia:
- The colour has faded +(dust accumulated)
- Structure and material is holding well, including the elastics.
- Dogs and squirrels have bitten off where antenna protrudes. (I'll get this repaired one of these days)
- In serious storm (happened 2 times in the year) the cover does tend to come off, so I tied it from the middle using the provided holes and a cotton rope.
- Every time I look at my covered Octavia, it reminds me of money well spent and a great find "Coverwell" in the process.

Re: Review: Coverwell car covers

Team,

Has anyone figured out a way to wash the Coverwell cover? Can it be put in washing machine? (Used to do that for the older ones that came with the car, haven't tried with Coverwell cover yet as I am worried if it will impact the material and / or elastic)

Thanks in advance.

Which model is this? Is it the water resistant cover? Can you please post the inside material picture?

Also if anyone can post the inside material picture of the water resistant as well as the Tyvek covers then it will be a great help. I was thinking of purchasing the TPH covers (Alpha/Hamster) but I find their products are unnecessarily overpriced for what it offers.

I am going to park the car at my apartment covered parking. So I need a cover to make the car dust free and also to prevent minor scratches from kids/adults. If it's a water proof one then better still but not mandatory. I need a slightly thicker one as it will offer a better prevention against minor scratches from kids/bicycles. Any advice will be helpful.
I haven't used any car cover since 2008 and that time it was a MGA genuine cover and it was okay but not at all great.

This is the water proof cover. My car is parked in the open in Mumbai rains and this cover does the job fairly well.

Now that you have possibly used it for a couple of months, how does it fare in terms of being "scratch less" and "heat proof"?

There is no scratch issue. My car is parked under the shade most of the time so can't comment on "heat proof". This cover was bit difficult to use, fold, and store in the beginning due to its size and weight. Now it is easy after watching some youtube videos.

Re: Review: Coverwell car covers

What does the inside of the basic dust and heat proof cover feel like? I'm wary of putting a rough one as it might cause scratches and swirls.
