I don't think you should paint it. I like it to be black.

Thanks Planet. Quite useful for your Padmini too.

Edit: Bottle, this is how it would look with a painted stoneguard - http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indiancarpicture-416.html

India saw two versions of the 1.6 Torque series engines. The older version was the 1580 cc and the newer (Palio time) engine was the 1596 engine. The older engines came with a stock Fiat factory 4x2x1 exhaust header whereas it was a 4x1 on the 1596 engine. I have a gut feeling that the 4x2x1 is a direct fit on the 1596 cc engine and should give some minor performance gains. I am looking for a set of headers from the 1580 cc engine. If someone comes across it give me a shout. Here are pictorial differences:

The Older 1580 cc engines:

The Palio 1596 engine:

Hey Rishi,
Can you please let us know the utility of KN Filters, their relevance and the effect of their usage on the performance of the car.
How much money we have to shell out to get it fitted on Palio Stile 1.1 Engine with just 57 BHP and with 990 kerb?
Thanks.

Hello Everyone,

Hav got a Palio S10. Got a K&N Extreme already. Was seriously thinking to go for the below mentioned mods and need your inputs/suggestions on the same:

1. Iridium Spark Plugs (Not for performance, but just coz they are better spark plugs ithan the stock ones if I aint wrong)
2. Competition Flywheel (suggested by Tuner)
3. Competition Main Pulley (suggested by Tuner)
4. Custom made exhausts & FFE

All the above are costing me around Rs. 25-30k.

Kindly suggest if the mods are ok and the price is reasonable. Suggest any other decent mods which can be done to a Palio 1.6

Love my car's performance in stock as its got decent power. But was looking to give the power a little boost.

Also, does installation of these bolt-on kit need to be done by an expert or shall a very good Palio mech do? Coz items 2, 3 and 4 shall be sent across to me as bolt-ons and need to get them installed by my Palio mech in Hyd.

None of these required. Just avoid.

Don't know the scene in Hyderabad, but if done well the car gets faster. Try getting it done from Psycho in Bangalore.

I don't think it justifies the output.

Thanked: Once

They are lightened Flywheel and pulley, good for racing, but not for regular use, will reduce the torque of the engine at low RPM, however, will allow the engine to rev more freely, less mass.
mods please delete this post, got created by accident
