All Toyota sold here is CKD only, Except Etios, Glanza and Urban Cruiser

No need to worry about Innova Crysta sold in India is a CKD.

Please let me know your experience with this suspension set up over the past few months. I am highly interested to do the same for a long time. Your post here actually made me choose IronMan over Bilstein B6, it fits the budget too.
How is it so far?

So far am happy with iron man suspension for regular highway cruising of 120-140kmph. Had done a trip from Bangalore to Madurai recently with 6 oldies and they did not complain a bit be it Comforts/Handling/Performance. Few were planning to buy new crysta for which i told todo the mods as well to enjoy it.

But if you want car like handling in corners at triple digit speeds you need to go for Eibach springs with Ironman/Bilstein B6 setup.

Thank you for your response.

This helped me fully make up my mind to go ahead with the upgrades (for the 2016 Crysta 2.8Z 66800 kms done that is handed down to me) rather than buying a new car actually. Not happy with the new cars within my budget. All seem overpriced.

My highway runs are only between Bangalore, Coimbatore, Palakkad and finally Kochi. My comfortable speed barring truck traffic is 100 - 120 - 140 kmph.

I upgraded the tyres to 225/55/R17 Continental. Very very happy with this. Thanks to TBhp forum for this. I was able to do some research here and pick up the right size and brand.

I will do the next upgrades in phases so that it doesn’t hurt the pocket very much.

1. Starting with Comfort - get the Ironman Nitrogas dampers immediately (tomorrow itself already booked time slot). On the next Drive to coimbatore I would know if I need to add the eibach springs.

2. Then performance - stage 1 tuning with some good brake pads.

Thank you again BRRAJ.

Looks very neat, thinking of doing the same. Can we get this grill at the Toyota dealership?

Thanks,

I live in Bangalore and I saw the message that you live somewhere near IIMB, would it be possible for me to take a look at your suspension set up ? I would love to see the good aspects and trades off before I go ahead with the change.

Great, how frequently does the Bangalore meet happen?

Congratulations and super thread.

Does it require to use a tire with higher speed rating and load index, as the 17 inch wheels are already notorious?

Yes, Main reason why i went in for Michelin Primacy 215/60/r17 V rating. This also helps me do mild offroading.
If you want more contact patch with lesser profile you can choose Michelin Primacy 4 225/55/R17 W rating.

Re: My Remapped Toyota Innova Crysta 2.8L | 216 BHP & 514 Nm

Excited to read.

Could you please share your experience with differences in riding behaviour, performance, and fuel economy among stock economy, stock power, remapped economy, remapped power modes?

It is too much an ask, however would like to know how eco and power modes vary after the remapping? Sometimes I too feel like doing something similar with my 2.8Z, though the stock power mode is already an exciting one.
